Awesome scenic well marked trails. My favorite are the 4 peaks on Storm King Mountain. Breathtaking views of the hudson river from Storm King Mountain. The 1st, 3rd & 4th peak are good for all ages. The 2nd peak is very steep and lots of drop offs, better for kids 8 and up.

Storm King State Park has absolutely nothing to offer to the public and is only an area which was left when the Con Ed pumped storage facility was abandoned in the 60s. It shows as a state park on maps but is not at all a park.What it is, however is an incredibly valuable and untouched piece of land right at the base of Storm King Mountain which will someday hopefully be taken over by the Village of Cornwall and subjected to rigorous planning for different types of housing. The village needs the tax revenue, and this area could easily support housing – particularly for elderly folks. Scenic Hudson would be the most logical partner. Perhaps this will happen in the next 30 years – I'm not holding my breath largely because of the backward thinking of the local planning crowd... If any visionary developer has a few minutes, this is definitely worth a visit.Storm King Art Center, listed separately, and worth a detour all away from New York City on a nice weekend afternoon.

If you want to get away from noisy New York City, Storm King State Park is only 90 minutes away. The ride along Hudson river is beautiful and so is the art park. It's huge, but you can take the little train that takes you along all the impressive art works. It's really worth it.

This was a great place to just relax and enjoy the art in the outdoors. They have a little cafe that they are expanding and the food is actually pretty good. The gift shop was a little small and did not offer much but then again i wasn't there for the shopping i was there for the sights and they were wonderful.. If you have the time please visit this place you will be glad you did..

Há pouco mais de '1 hora de Manhattan, um imenso parque de esculturas , o Storm King Park .Esculturas gigantescas de Calder a Richard Serra .Há um trenzinho parea aqueles que não podem ou não gostam de caminhar pois o parque é imenso .De Manhattan, vale a pena alugar um carro pelo dia e passar o dia lá . Sujiro no caminho passar por Stone Barn para tomar café. É uma fazenda orgânica belíssima , antiga, toda de pedra , que tem uma feirinha de produtos , um café maravilhoso com comidinhas e varias criações de animais para visitação .Crianças amam e adultos também.
