...is Gunnison's. This place is fantastic. So much more than apples. However, if you are a connoisseur of the Macintosh apple, you will find no better than here. When I am in NY, I always grab a bag of these and take them back home. They are always of the highest quality, crisp and fresh. Usually in late September you can get these beauties here. Not sure they are original home grown Macs, well look around outside their premises and you will see the trees that bear these succulent yummies.However, Gunnison's is much more than apples. They have a full bakery and nice gift shop. But the bakery is awesome. A lot of local folks like their pies. However, for me, the apple cider donuts are worthy of a grand prize. These donuts come in a few different variety's but I like the cinnamon sugared model. They are fresh and mouth watering. We will grab a few of them and nibble on them as we are driving looking at the fall colors of northern NY.Gunnison's is a great place to stop and enjoy some of the local flavor of this northern NY area, I do, I suggest you should also.

Took a ride to K&D in Westport had lunch on the deck lunch was very good. Then took a ride down to Gunnison Bakery and bought Blueberry Pies THE BEST. Donuts and cookie enjoyed. Ride started in Queensbury,NY Been to each place a few times. That was Friday. Blueberry pie gone PeteCap

Wow!!! My husband and I were on our way back to Pennsylvania and stopped in for raspberry cookies needless to say we went overboard!!! Anything you try is heavenly! This is a stop you shouldn't miss! Happy eating!!!!!!

After selling my place in the Adks, I drove 4 hrs to get some goodies from Gunnison's. Their entire bakery menu is delicious. You cannot go wrong. Their apple selection and pricing is also excellent, as is their gift shop. Go have some hot cider, donuts, cookies and take home some pie and locally made organic jarred goodies!

Maple cream donuts are wonderful! Also had the raspberry filled cookies and the fried cakes. Enjoyed everything !

The place isn't fancy, but very pleasant with a lot of new work on the facility. Our stop was out of the apples season, but the donuts were fresh and among the best I've had--and I love to sample cider donuts wherever I go. There was a nice selection of fudge, appealingly placed near the door so it's about the first thing you see going in; and you have to pass it again going out...that's difficult. The staff we spoke with was very pleasant and helpful. We'll have to stop back during the apple harvest season to give it another look. It might make excellent!

Great little shop for Adirondack gifts. Don't miss the bakery. Great apple cider donuts. Lots of other bakery choices too. Oh and the apples are always good, too ;o)
