I have been to DARIEN LAKE THEME PARK allot and I find that around 6PM YOU START RUNNING OUT OF HINGS TO RIDE so you start riding the same things overrrrrrrrrr and overrrrrrrrr again!! But it's a great park!! Just pace yourself and leave at the right time! Food is PRICY!! But what can you expect for a park?!?!?! I mean it's extra fun!!! I went there after I went to 6 FLAGS!! I thought it had more fun rides!!! So fun!!!! I definely recommend!!!!!

My family (husband and two kids (5 & 6) spent the entire day and had a great time. We got there when it opened and left right after the fireworks. We didn't stay on the property, but camped nearby. For the price of admission, I feel you get a lot. With a little pre-planning, you can make a wonderful day for your family, i.e. a weekday when crowds will be less likely and not on a day when there is a concert. My kids even said they liked it better than Disney World (because you can get in a lot more rides in a day), but it's not even close...I rated it 4 because some areas looked "tired," and some rides were only running one car when the crowd could have supported two. I felt it might have been slightly understaffed, but chalked that up to the fact that it was a weekend-worthy crowd on a weekday right before school went back into session. Will go again for sure.

My family and I went to Darien Lake Amusement Park in early July. The weather was perfect and the park wasn't overly crowded. I have 3 young boys and they didn't have to wait in long lines that much. They loved all the rides and they loved the water park too. There were lots of rides for young children as well as thrill rides. The food was okay, it was your average amusement park food but my boys seemed to like it. I would recommend this park to any family traveling in that area.

went as family thing. had a great time. there is a lot to do. rides, waterslides, games, gift shops, food, and if you are lucky enough to get tickets to one of the concerts they have there you can do that too. we unfortunately did not have tickets to a concert. but we had lots of fun anyway

I have been a season pass holder since 2005 and keep coming back. This is the bast season pass value considering that the waterpark is included. New water slides, lazy river, and concessions have been added in recent years. The park has a good mix of family rides that my kids can ride on their own ( 11 and 9). The Ride of Steel is a world class roller coaster, but it was built in 1999. This park is way overdue for a major new coaster/attraction.

Went with my family and and lager group of friends! Was a great value for the price! Rooms were very comfortable and spacious. Staff were excellent and distance to amusement park from hotels was great!

We went to the park this past Saturday which was thier last day open for the 2014 season. It was quite busy and got busier after 4 o'clock. The waits for roller coaters were 30 + minutes. The park was clean and small enough to walk around easily. We loved the Boomerang coaster.

My family has been going there for 25+ yrs. We will NOT return. What a rip off. We usually go in fall for Halloween weekend. Prices have gone up quite a bit but when you get there and sign in...they tell you the park is closed Sunday. So you pay ALL this money for a weekend and you get kicked out at 11 am on Sunday! We have also been told that if we had gone on the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend that it closes Sunday! We lined up for the crappiest Halloween "outbreak" event. No grave yard, no ghouls, no kiddie thing nothing. Its the worst we've seen. GOODBYE DARIEN LAKE! IT HASNT BEEN a blast!!!

Pretty expensive but okay. Avoid it on concert nights, the crowds leaving can be a road hazard. Rides are average, foods average.

We visited Darien Lake Amusement Park primarily for a Luke Bryan concert, but it turned out that the kids would have much rather spent their time at the amusement park. Our daughter had been wanting to see Luke Bryan for some time and I found one of his concerts at Darien Lake. So, having been there numerous times as a child and young adult, I thought this would be a great return for me and a great birthday present for my daughter. We stayed for 2 nights, which one of those nights was the concert. As a reference, the kids are 6 and 8. They LOVED the park. Only issue was that the weekend that we were there the temperature happened to be rather cool, so we did not get to any of the water rides, much to the kids' dismay. But, they had a great time on just the rides alone. The lines are not long as you would find at a typical amusement park. Lines for rides were barely an issue. I think this place is a hidden gem! We stayed at the hotel during this stay, but would definitely consider camping there also. The hotel wasn't bad, but could use some improvements for the cost. Whether staying at he hotel or camping, you MUST go see the Ignite the Night show. It is fantastic. As a US military veteran and a law enforcement officer, this show brought tears to my eyes. Just seeing that there are individuals and communities that show such great appreciation for the work that our military, law enforcement, fire fighters, EMS and all first responders do for us, was absolutely moving for me. To share this show and that experience with my children, was even more special. If you are going here for a concert, definitely stay here! Concert parking is a NIGHTMARE! Just make it a weekend and have fun! I think that may be their ultimate goal anyway! This is a great family place and we will definitely be back. Will probably try out the camping situation.

I had a really nice time at Darien Lake, though I feel like there is so much room for them to add more rides and attractions! The rides that they do have there are fun and unique. The food prices were a lot better than a lot of the other places that I've gone to. Loved the lake and the peddle boats for sure, even though there was an extra charge for them. I also wish there were more shows and attractions there to enjoy when you're not going on rides. Loved the motorcycle roller coaster!

I'm not sure why other peoples reviews are bad but when I went it was fine but I also went on the off peak after the long weekend and it was fine the only thing that kinda sucked was the water park it wasn't open cause of the weather and only opened the day we left but everything else was fine the rides didn't have much lines and our trailer wasn't to bad either wasn't that dirty when we got there. So if u wanna pick a time to go is off peak time after the long weekend !

Parking was free if you were going to the concert! Perfect. We stayed outside the property, friends stayed at the campgrounds and then we were all going to the concert after........ the 3 venues are linked but yet have nothing to do with each other. Very odd....... For a venue that is open a short period of time you would think that linking as much as possible would make it easier and guests MUCH happier. Running ALL AROUND THE OUTSIDE, is ridiculous. Rollercoasters were great!!!Other rides were so short there was no point to go on them, very disappointing. Not sure if everyone was just OVER it, being the last long weekend of summer. Staff had their appreciation night the evening before as well..........??/ Would go back for a concert, not sure about anything else. Not for 50US$$$$. Buy tickets at Tops or Duty Free to save $$$$. P.S. There is NOTHING Around you, so come prepared.

We stayed here as a family of 8 at one of the guest houses in Darien Lake. The guest house sleeps 8 adults (queen bed in each of the four rooms). Full kitchen (no dishwasher) and a washer and dryer- which was perfect as I was able to wash my clothes everyday after being around the camp fire (bring laundry detergent). The air conditioner was cold and efficient! It had a great fire pit in the back and natural gas bbq, all on pavement so it was never dirty or muddy back there. Unfortunately it rained 2 of the 3 nights we were there-and if we had been camping, surely we would have just gone home. However, the luxury of having a guest house made it an enjoyable family trip as we were able to play games inside and cook meals without worry. The TV and WIFI were an added bonus for a rainy day :) Although pricey, if you have 8 adults going- it's an affordable luxury.

For less than $500 we get park passes for 3 days and rent a trailer to stay in for 2 nights. It's an awesome deal. The trailers are positioned close to the park, the store and the comfort stations. They have a camper lounge that is wonderful and lots of green space for the kids to play. The rides have everything you could ever want in a theme park and the shows are fantastic. Especially the one that ends the night with fireworks and a laser show. The waits for the rides are minimal and you are free to take snacks, drinks, etc. into the park as you wish. We love it and look forward to going every year!! Highly recommended. We've been to Canada's Wonderland and other large parks that are over priced and don't allow you to bring anything in. At Darien Lake it is easy to come and go from the park and the waits are short so the kids get to ride until they are all ride-ed out. What fun is it to go to a park that has all these great rides that you don't really get to go on because you have to wait 2 hours to ride. If you go...my recommendations...The trailers aren't fancy, just a shell...so bring everything including an air mattress for mom and dad...the mattresses on the beds are not fantastic.Hit the waterpark in the morning if it is nice and you want to do the large waterslides. There is very little wait then. By 1-2 in the afternoon the waits are much longer. If you still need to keep cool there is a lazy river, a wave pool and a splash park for the kids.Definitely don't miss the last show of the night. It is fantastic!!Hope you have a great time!P.S. We go with kids of all ages. We've been going for 5 years and the age span right now is 5, 9, 10, 15. It is awesome!
