The walk through was so pretty, and how cool to have all those different trees together. We liked it alot, we go here everytime we're in EVL.

Found this place while driving around the village of Ellicottville, and decided to pop in to the town centre before checking out the main shops on Washington street when we came across this. Hadn't seen anything on TA or any brochures (although after we did at the visitor's centre) so we decided to check it out.The entrance is very well marked, and gives lots of information about the location. There is a large map that gives you and idea of the size of the Arboreum and how long it might take to complete the whole trail.Since there is no fee, there is no surprise no service to go along with it. There is a donation box and you can buy "bricks" that are part of the isle way for where they perform weddings which we figure probably seat about 60 people maximum.We were pleasantly surprised, and glad we stopped in. Each of the trees were labelled, although we weren't entirely sure what the various zone's meant and the brochure itself lacked a map of any kind although the park is not very big. They are also individually numbered, so there is possibly a reference guide of some sort that goes along with it but never say anything so cannot say for sure.The herb garden was in need of some weeding in a big way, and a number of the signs were either missing or damaged which could obviously happen during bad whether. A lack of funding is probably the only thing holding this place back, but there were a number of interesting trees and such that were quite interesting for someone who had never been to one. We stayed primarily on the path because of previous rain that had occurred and a lack of proper footwear for walking through the grass. We spent about 45 minutes, but depending on your interest level and the amount of time off the trail you could spend 2 to 3 hours or more. This would be an excellent place for holding a small wedding, or just sitting out to relax while reading a book as there were a number of benches which had been generously donated but a number of individuals. There is also a small catch and release pond if you are into a little bit of R&R and you don't want to travel far.
