Scientists are doing advanced research on Lyme disease, woodland ecology, stream and river viability and many other topics . No Dogs. nice interior roads for bike riding. Lots of wild life. A GEM! Great programs, greenhouse, grounds. Near innisfree gardens, trevor zoo make a day of it on way to berkshires.

This place is a local treasure, and the lectures are very enjoyable. We came to the trails for a Fathers' Day picnic.

We originally discoverd this place on a field trip with our school. We have returned a few times, you can walk the trails or take a class when available. It is an amazing learning center.

Hiking trails, science-focussed educational programs, and world renowned authors, scientists, and even artists lecture at the Carey auditorium on a regular basis. Even though I miss their former formal gardens, I respect their mission statement and adherence to ecologically minded programs. Well worth visiting and Supporting!

There is a very good group of courses offered on various topics from landscaping design to plant care. The costs are reasonable and the staff is excellent.
