Their pasta can be little over boiled and being a half Italian, I personally do not like over boiled pasta. The food is mediocre, the price is reasonable, the staff are very friendly.

When we go back home to visit family we always eat here. Never had a bad meal. The wait staff is excellent and attentive. Worth every penny.

We had our son's graduation dinner here and called ahead and reserved a table for about 12 guests. Staff was very accomodating, the place had a casual but understated elegant atmosphere with linen table cloths, everyone enjoyed their dinner, and when we got the bill I did not have to wonder what my credit limit was.

The food is fresh and cooked to order. The tomoato sauce is made there and is quite exceptional. You can even buy jars to take home. The seafood is such a pleasant surprise...always fresh and when they have raw clams or oysters, get them. They are truly fresh. The prices are reasonalble and the bar has some pretty good wine isf you get a bottle. All top shelf liquors.

I found this place to be very pretentious in that they carried the standard "Italian" dishes on the menu, but found the execution to be poor. My Veal Marsala was tough and very salty and I was unable to finish it. My wife, who will eat anything, thought her sole special was "meh". The desserts failed to rescue the evening, very cardboard-tasting, and the killer.... I ordered black coffee with Sambuca Romana. I placed my order with the owner's wife and asked specifically, "Do you have Sambuca Romana?" Yes was the reply. When I got my coffee, I poured in the "Sambuca Romana" and tasted. "Yech!" I flagged down the owner's wife and said, "Ma'am, I'm sorry, but that is NOT Sambuca Romana, it tastes a bit petroleum." She seemed upset and insisted it was Sambuca Romana. I politely disagreed, but she seemed to not accept the situation, still insisting her position. So finally, I asked to see the bottle. She came back with some well drink that had the same colors as the Original. I politely tried to explain the difference, but she wasn't having any. After she huffed off, I leaned across to my wife and stated, "See, that's why the food is so poor. They fail to see the difference between top notch and imposters. As though Chef Boyardee is Italian." Enough said.

excellent bronzini (fish); excellent pastas, breads, brocoli rabe, etc. a pleasure. a civilized place where you are NOT smashed up against other diners. a delight in every respect ! great place to come with business associates and friends, and family too. have returned several times.

The quality of the food and presentation are consistently outstanding! I have been dining here for years and have always had a great meal! If you want great italian food, this is the place to come!

You do best when dealing with one of the owners to seat you. Showed up, admittedly with no reservation, for a 3 early into dinner. The hosting person at the podium dithered and fussed then disappeared. Many tables were empty upon examination and understanding there were reservations, we could have been seated easily. Our dinner guest is a semi-retired clergyman in his early 80's and known at the restaurant albeit appearing in "mufti". Deferring to his age was the obvious resolution if an unknown. Finally, someone intervened and seated us and tables were still available all the time we were there.

The family dined here for our anniversary. The food was excellent, I enjoyed a Monk & fresh Tuna dish. Lovely light red sauce over linguini. We shared an excellent antipasto and the calamari was one of the best I have eaten in some time. All of the family, even the grand kids enjoy the meal. Oh yes, the Cannoli was wonderful. So with such a great chef why not and Excellent rating? First the service was lacking. Almost rushed, no explanation of the evening's specials a waiter who must have had a date as he couldn't wait to take an order. We ordered a bottle of wine, excellent Pino BTW Ladies of Venice. And he is taking orders while pouring. Oh yes, waiter training. After the gentleman tastes the wine, you pour for the ladies first. And then we come to coffee. Don't order any. The coffee at McDonalds is better. They must have run short of beans or grounds...dishwater at best. By all means try this restaurant, the light sauce was EXCELLENT... nicely spiced. The food rates 4 stars, the service...They need training.

This is a superb restaurant for a special occasion. We've dined there for several years and always had an exemplary experience. Food is consistently fresh and well prepared. Service is attentive without being overbearing. Our favorite restaurant in Rockland County.

It does not get any better than Del Arte. Hosts and owners John and Rosemarie Carollo make you feel at home. The staff is wonderful and welcoming and go out of their way to take care of you. The food is all wonderful- I could not give just one favorite (but the pasta primavera and John's bolognese sauce are staples on my list). Sunday night they have a Sunday to go package- a tray of pasta, a tray of a chicken dish, slad and their yummy garlic knots to go for $50. It easily feeds 6-8. The prices are very reasonable, the food outstanding- Del Arte is a homerun.
