We booked a priviate flight for our 30th anniversary in Aug. for when we were would be in Lake George for a couple of days. Despite numerous phone calls and texts from us to owner, and being available at any time during our time there ... we were always told the weather was not cooperating. When we asked for a refund ... we were told he would need to talk to his partner ... that was over 2 months ago ... and all subsequent emails have gone unanswered. We will be contacting the Better Business Bureau about this scam.

I paid Guru Balloons $450.00 for a hot air balloon ride for my girlfriend and me. It was a disappointing end to a beautiful three-day weekend. Adam claimed the average ride lasts between 45 minutes to an hour. Our ride lasted 12 minutes, went a hundred feet high, and covered a tenth of a mile most of which was just above the treetops. My girlfriend and I spent an hour driving in Adam’s truck, an hour setting up and breaking down his balloon. Adam’s only offer of compensation was a “really nice breakfast” and a $50.00 of our next balloon ride with Guru Balloon. We live three hours away. Adam said we could give the coupon to a friend or a family member. Really? When we unloaded from Adam’s truck there was a hot air balloon already in the air 2 miles away. When we go back into Adam’s truck 45 minutes later to ride back to the hotel the other balloon was still going probably 2 miles from where I first saw it. Adam said that did not mean they had a good ride. Huh? We stayed at the Country Inn, very nice, indoor and outdoor pools, whirlpool big enough for eight. Fireworks provided just outside our room on Friday and Saturday nights courtesy of Six Flags. The complimentary breakfast included scrambled eggs, self-made waffles, fresh fruit, cereals and breads, etc. The total price for our 48 hours stay was under $500.00.We road horseback for an hour for $45.00 each; saw two deer 30 feet from the trail. We took a 3-hour cruise on the Lac du Saint Sacrement for less than 50.00 each. The cruise had a buffet with a pasta dish, fish, steak tips, and a carving station with roasted turkey. The talented singer sang throughout the trip, the DJ kept everyone happy. The dance floor got a real workout. People on shore waved; jumped off their boathouses in to the lake and one of them shot a canon towards the ship. The server was a delight. They had a full bar made excellent drinks. Quite the experience!If $450.00 for a 12 minute ride, hot air balloon ride is acceptable to you; then book a ride with Adam and Screwu Balloon.

Adam and Jana run a tight knit professional operation that will not be outdone. It is a marvel watching them work, and Adam installs confidence within when you ride with him. They provide a ballooning experience that will make you wonder why you hadn't done this before.
