For a small town it is amazing that there is so much talent! Very enjoyable. I actually purchased a framed photograph by Burdette Parks which now hangs in our foyer--love it!

Saranac Lake/Lake Placid is probably best known for its Winter Olympic heritage and high peaks location but also home to some of the finest artists who capture the splendor and tranquility of the Adirondack Region. The Adirondack Artist Guild is gem of a find right in the middle of Saranac Lake.I must qualify myself, I worked at the 80 Lake Placid Winter Olympics constructing all of the facilities for the memorial event and was present for the "Miracle on Ice" USA/USSR hockey game so the region is very dear to me. My wife Marion is also a very accomplished artist who belongs to the Guild.

We stop in whenever we can while in the area, the co-op style gallery has changing exhibits and nice local artwork that is mostly focused on the Adirondack experience. While the pieces exhibited may change, the constant is the friendly artists who rotate to cover the shop and assist visitors with questions or interests. Very nice variety of media and styles, so likely something for just about everyone. Well worth a stop!
