right next to the beautiful Portland Headlight Lighthouse, it is also a sight worth seeing. there are places to sit and a beach that is freezing cold all year round. we climbed up to 2 different ruins that looked really cool. we took a lot of pictures here. plenty of parking. costs no money. no bathroom FYI

It's always beautiful, no matter the season. Summer is great with food trucks and a place to dip your feet in the water - and bring a picnic to enjoy! Spring and fall are ideal to explore the forts - and still gorgeous in winter. Great views.

All alone! We were there off season and no one was around!! What magnificent surroundings. We were there a couple hours just enjoying the solitude and the cold. What a.nice park. Not qualified to review in season! Our first visit. So sorry it has taken us so long.

The kids will love running the hills, flying the kites and even enjoying the Sandy beach. Paths to explore, picnic, just have a great family day.

Cape Elizabeth is magnificent. We wish we could have stayed the entire summer as there is much to see and do in this "Beverly Hills" of Maine. See my detailed comments under "Goddard Mansion" which is the worst thing to see in fort Williams -- but the rest of it is awesome!

I can not speak highly enough of picking up warm bagels at nearby Scratch Baking in South Portland and consuming these with coffee at Fort Williams. A mere five miles from Higgins Beach, this makes a perfect breakfast with a view and an opportunity for walking, photos and watching the marine traffic enter and exit Portland.

When first pullin gin it may not seem that big, but when you drige further in itis much bigger and well marked. Definitely need to go back and explore.on a warmer and less rainy day. So pretty.

Large park area now, lots of parking. Picnic tables set up along the shore with gorgeous views of the ocean. It was a peaceful place to enjoy our lunch before getting back on the road

The view is absolutely stunning!!! I took a picture of this place and it's exactly the same as post cards.

A bit of history to go along with the panoramic views of the coast - Cape Elizabeth, and its famous light house. It features history of the defense of the harbor, historic markers, a museum and a gift shop. There is also a great walking area, a beach, and family areas of picture taking, and cookouts.A 5 star spot with no charge to enter. Open dawn to dusk; there is even a food truck with lobster rolls.

This was our second visit to the park. On this occasion,we rented a pavilion in the park for a birthday celebration. The park is very clean and a pleasure to walk around. The lighthouse and coastal views are terrific. The only restrooms are portable, however they are maintained. The park is quite large and a guest could spend most of their day at the park.

Great views. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy. Lobster Rolls! (Bite into Maine). The lighthouse! Lots of fun.

Visiting Fort Williams Park after seeing the Portland Head Lighthouse, we enjoyed walking through the cultivated gardens atop the cliff. The scenery is excellent. I expect it's rather less tranquil in Summer.

Free entrance and lots of parking! A beautiful walk along the cliff tops, an interesting lighthouse museum, only $2 entrance fee, and lots of interesting native plantings in the gardens. Love this park!

This park is just gorgeous. It has it all. It is free. It has the most beautiful scenery. One of the most famous lighthouses in Maine. A cute little gift shop. Some pieces of the old fort are still standing. Tons of walking trails, grass and history. The place is always crowded but there is so much room to spread out. Such a relaxing place to sit and watch the boats. Don't forget to try a lobster roll which is one of the best in Maine at the food truck called Bite into Maine. Just incredible. I can't wait to go back here. When I get stressed out, I close my eyes and think about being at Fort Williams Park in Maine eating my lobster. It doesn't get any better than this.
