We had a great time rafting. The guides made the trip fun and enjoyable. We went down the dead river on a water release day and I can't wait to go back again.

Three Rivers rafting I have to say a fully professional outfit impressed with the set up and equipment. The thing that found very strange and I thought they were pulling my leg, as I assumed that the water would have been cold and we would have needed wet suits. Was that the water was warm even straight of the reservoir ,as back home in Blighty it would be hyperthermia inducing. The best thing we did in America as it ticked lots of boxes and had a good dollop of adrenalin thrown in. We also stayed at the headquarters in Forks the room was a little small but the food was excellent. As they used lots of fresh ingredients

The staff was great! We loved the trip. Our guide, Kim, was fantastic! The food was superb! We would definitely recommend this company if you are going rafting on the Kennebec River. Northern Outdoors rocks!

I had the opportunity to check out Three River Whitewater Rafting Co about a week and a half ago and I'll be honest, I'm trying to figure out when I can go back because it was an absolute blast. I went up with a friend the night before and we stayed in one of their yurts (which was way better than pitching a tent after the 5 hour drive) which sleeps eight. We woke up the next morning had breakfast at their "bar" for $7, grabbed gear and were off after a very basic safety "talk". Hears the deal, you're going to get soaked, most likely if you're on the Penobscot, you're falling out of the raft too, but it's a blast. This isn't the sort of experience you'll get from watching tv documentary, you're on the front line knee deep in it. Adrenaline coursing through your veins, people cheering while working together, powerful currents and waterfalls. I'd never been rafting before and these are class V, so buckle up and buckle in because you're in for one hell of a ride.

Three Rivers was amazing! All of the guides had great energy and were extremely knowledgeable! You could tell that they really loved their job! Our "Fun Specialist" Jimmy Doria AKA Adam Sandler was beyond amazing and hilarious! He had our boat rolling the whole time! Even on the deadest part of the river our boat did not stop laughing! Great time with great people! I can not wait to do it again! If you love fun and adventure I would strongly recommend Three Rivers and Jimmy as your guide! PS the FOOD & restaurant were amazing as well!

Our family of four (two adults and two children 11,14) went whitewater rafting on the Kennebec River in August 2014. The kids have never been rafting before and were a little nervous at the thought of it all. First thing in the morning we were put in groups, given instructions, and were told who our guide would be. We then piled into a bus and took a 15 minute trip to the beginning of our adventure. The bus ride was fun. The guides performed a little pep rally to get us going. It was a lot of fun. Sometimes, one or two of the guides would make jokes with a slight reference to sex and/or drugs - which turned us off since we were with our children. The guides should pay a little more attention to who the audience is before making 'adult' comments. Once we got on the river we had a fantastic time! Our guide, Fletcher, was very experienced and we had a great time with him. He made a lot of jokes to make us feel more comfortable - he was very knowledgeable and took our safety very seriously. After our adventure we went back to the site and had a delicious BBQ meal while viewing the video of our trip. That evening we had really great pizza and salad at the bar/restaurant. The food was so fresh and tasted good!At the end of the evening we went to our cabin on the river. It slept 8 people, though we were only 4. It had a TV (for DVD's only) and its own bathroom. Everything in the cabin was very clean - the linens, the bathroom, the sleeping area. The cabin was very spacious!! The kids loved the loft! The only drawback to the cabin was that the mattresses were VERY thin and some of the blankets looked extremely warn. However - this would NOT stop us from visiting again. We would just take our own blankets next time. Overall we had a wonderful experience. The staff (guides, gift shop clerks, waiter/waitresses) were professional, friendly, and eager to assist us. We would raft with Three Rivers again!!!

My boyfriend Gregg and I went white water rafting down the Kennebec River on August 9, 2014. This was Gregg's first time going white water rafting and my 3rd time. We stayed at the Widow Maker cabin. The weather was incredible and the water temperature was like bath water, considering the cool temperatures we have had all this summer. We had so much fun and we even rafted with people Gregg knew and went to school with from the seacoast area...two towns over from where we live. How cool is that. The crews were awesome, very organized, and great cooks. We had a blast and I found out I had muscles in places I never knew. We are already planning for the next white water rafting trip again with more friends. I would probably do the Kennebec again or even the Dead River because I did the Penobscot River my first two times, and that is a whole different ball game. What a blast. LOVED IT !!!! See you all soon. You are an incredible team, we love you all at the Kennebec. :)

My whole family went here. We had a ball white water rafting. Our guides were excellent couldn't ask for a better time. After rafting we had a BBQ with all the rafters. Next day we hiked to Moxie Falls and went for a swim. Also went kayaking they rent them there. Was a fun filled week, but could do it in two days. You could buy pictures of white water rafting but they are not cheap. I do think if prices were lower more people would purchase them.

I went with my husband and 17 year old neice. This company was professional yet also easy going and fun loving. We enjoyed our time. We rafted the Dead River at 5600 cfs. It was a great ride. The bbq afterwards was a nice homecooked meal. We stayed at the Inn By the River which was also quite lovely.

Whitewater rafting in itself is fun and adventurous. Our experience was ok but not what it could have been. We are very experienced paddlers from kayaking and were grouped with 2 families on the raft. The raft had 5 adults and 3 children. My husband & I seated ourselves 2nd row from the front since we were interested in "more adventure" as described by our guide. The guide then offered the youngest child (7 yr old), to sit in the front (middle, holding a rope). She loved the idea and agreed immediately. He then asked her parents if they wanted to be near her, so my husband & I were asked to move back. Of course we agreed. So now we are in the 3 rd row with only a 10 yr old boy behind me. The most efficient way to paddle is everyone keeping a rhythm together. Neither the 10 yr old nor his father in front of me could do that. The father was busy watching his kids and the 10 yr old couldn't keep pace. Our paddles banged against each other the entire trip. Very frustrating!Throughout the trip the guide made sure the kids were safe and having fun. During the calm time he let them guide the boat while he took a nap. ( I took a photo) The trip was all about the kids. Now I don't want to sound like I don't like kids. Actually, I'm an elementary special education teacher and LOVE kids. But I did not pay this kind of money to go on class 4 & 5 rapids to have my trip made to accommodate young children. We still had lots of fun by not letting the situation interfere at the moment. And also, my life vest had a really bad body odor smell that I had to deal with all day. Yuck!I did contact the company to tell them my complaints. They asked me for more specifics and I never heard anything back from them.

So much fun. This river is exciting without being terrifying. We had a great day with our family. Video presentation after was a fun way to end our trip.

it is not easy to travel with two surly teenagers and an eight year old but Three Rivers Rafting made our entire vacation truly a wonderful experience. Unlike other places we have visited there was absolutely no rush about getting our gear and ourselves together for the trip. Our guide, Max, was a phenomenal young man, who charmed all three of my children and managed to make my husband and I feel completely safe in the water despite our trepidation. The campsite was serene. We hung out on the dock and watched a bald eagle fly lazily above us. We played cards and attempted to start a fire with sticks (thanks Max!) and believe it or not our teenagers were smiling despite being phone-less! Dan made delicious steaks, strawberry shortcake and pancakes. He also demonstrated a mean moose call! It was amazing how well we all slept in the tents. The rapids were so much fun that everyone wants to come back again next year. And I definitely think we will.

If you're into white water rafting, this is the place! Outstanding guides and a great river. The guides are key for a good rafting trip and Three Rivers has the best! Having a bar and camp ground to go back to was a great touch.

I wish I could rate this 6 our of 5...circles. It was an absolutely amazing time and I'd love to go back again. All the guides are amazing and joke around with you while on the river. The rapids themselves are class 5 and can be intimidating but ultimately fun. They make you aware of the potential dangers but always make you feel safe. They take pictures along the way and then play the photos and video back at the pickup spot afterward.I could write a novel about this place talking about how good it was, but sadly I just don't have enough time to write all of it out.Definitely choose The Forks for your rafting trip and I promise that you won't be dissapointed

I rafted the Kennebec River in a foursome of complete noobs with our awesome guide, Tony on June 19, 2013. The water was great and It was an extremely exciting experience. Our guide did a great job of keeping things light and seriously fun. I would absolutely do it again and I look forward to tackling some level five rapids with you guys later this year.Food was also extremely good.
