We started smiling as soon as we walked in the door. The exhibit was three artists, two folk painters and a sculptor who uses "found" materials. They were all bright, cheerful and fun. Mary, the curator, walked us around and clearly loved what she does. We did, too.

The visual dynamic is further enhanced by lively, tasteful Openings. Nestled into a scenic spot on the York River, this 2-story Gallery is a great destina-tion in any weather.

A well curated gallery always staffed by friendly and knowledgeable people featuring accomplished living artists, continuing the long artistic heritage of our region. We visit the gallery frequently, a cherished asset in our community in a beautiful location. A very worthwhile stop.

Wonderful gallery showcasing area artists, new and well-established. It is a property of the Old Museums of York. Although the building itself is historic, it is currently used as a gallery, wonderfully curated by Mary Harding. I live locally and visit the gallery often. I would recommend stopping in to view the art, learn the history of the buildings original use and to take in the gorgeous York River views just behind the building.

What could be a nice period historical building, even a working old timey store, in a great setting, has been turned into an artsy fartsy gallery which has little to do with the original historical purpose. It could be a great family centered attraction, instead it appeals only to a small segment of adults with a certain taste.
