Mulberry Vineyards in Chepachet, Rhode Island is a relatively new winery, opened for about a year. The young couple who own it, David Wright and his charming wife, welcome you to their rustic, yet comfortable, tasting room overlooking the surrounding forest. They are more than eager to tell you about their vineyards and their project for expansion to five more acres of vineyards in the near future. Currently they have only two wines, a white Reisling for $20 and a red Pinot Noir for $24. The Pinot is made in French oak barrels. The tasting is free and includes little slices of cheese with crackers. The welcoming atmosphere and personal touch make it worth visiting when you're in the area.
