Garden City Shopping Center has always been a favorite place to shop but the recent make-over has made it even better. New stores include Sephora, Container Store, and Lululemon. And more things are coming! Plus they have several new restaurants including The Corner Bakery and Bistro 22. The website has a full list available. The charm is really in the ability to walk outside and enjoy the fresh air while shopping. The only downside remains the parking, especially on the weekends and holidays. Watch for special events like summer concerts and Santa during the Christmas season!

Garden City has seen many phases throughout the years but they seem to finally have it right! This outside shopping plaza is the best in the city. Upscale shops and eateries. Music is piped in, totally renovated roads and walkways. I love to come here, at least 2 times a week. The Container Store, Sephora, Chipolte, Ann Taylor, Cohoes. Great shopping and in a lovely upscale setting.

Garden city is located off Reservoir Avenue, which is also rt. 2. It can be reached from rt. 95 to rt. 37 and then Reservoir Avenue North. Having lived in the area in the past, I have seen a few redevelopments over the years, but having seen it recently, I am so impressed with the improvements. The traffic pattern has been altered. Many new big box stores and popular ladies and men's wear stores, bakeries, restaurants, etc. They claim over 60 stores and each one is worth a visit. There are no second hand stores. Garden City has been in operation since 1948 and the quality of shops has never been better. It is an open air shopping mall, probably the first in Rhode Island. You can park and then stroll from shop to shop to coffee shop to restaurant to ice cream parlor, etc. The street encircles the mall and there are solid brick sidewalks for an enjoyable walk amist a beautifully landscaped property. The beauty of the area, the quality of the shops, the choices for eating and drinking makes for a great shopping experience. Summer concerts and Santa land in the winter, and many other activities to make your visit more enjoyable. I was so impressed with the newly remodeled Garden City, had to do a review to bring it everyone's attention. I have no personal interest in it. It is just a great feeling to be there.
