This home located in town takes you back in time the minute you walk in the door. It is furnished wonderfully. We learned much about Mary Todd Lincoln we never knew before. She was a great first lady. We would recommend this historic home to anyone visiting the area. It's a must see.

My wife has studied the Civil War extensively, and enjoys researching all things related to the topic. This visit was for her, and I didn't have high expectations for my own enjoyment. I was wrong! I learned a great deal about not only this region, and a couple significant players in history, but about the politics of the time, and how various things connected together in ways I had never previously. I had a great time seeing this home, and exploring some new (to me) aspects of history.

Went to the Saturday evening tour commemorating Nancy Todd Lincoln's 196th birthday. The tour guide was very informative and went into a lot of detail of Mrs. Lincoln's favorite things. The end of the tour was highlighted by cupcakes made from a recipe the Lincoln's enjoyed. The evening was very enjoyable and we plan on going to other events held here. My elderly mother-in-law went along and though the house is not handicap accessible, we had a walker and the people there were very respectful and did not rush her.

A little history lesson while in Lexington. The tour guides are very good and I got a little thrill out of walking up the staircase and touching the railing that was touched by Abraham Lincoln!

This home belonged to Mary Todd Lincoln the widow of President Abraham Lincoln. A very nice home located in downtown Lexington. Lots of interesting stuff. A place to see and walk through history.

Hard to find and getting a place to park is difficult, but once in, it is beautiful and worth it. The host was informative. We loved the history. The rooms are beautiful

Visited this historical site and quite enjoyed the tour which lasted about an hour. Interesting artifacts from the original house have Been gathered over the years and are displayed in the rooms as they would have looked like at that time. China, figurines, dishes, silver and portraits were original with even an original Audubon painting. There are also papers including the playbill from the ford theatre from when Lincoln was shot. Good narration by guide and a small store on the main floor at the rear for those that wish to buy souvenirs.

Glad they saved this building for everyone to see even though it was well past the time of the Todd family. They had a number of items belonging to Mary Lincoln and items that had belonged to the Todd family. $10 admission for an hour tour. Parking behind building. Lincoln really slept there.

This was a wonderful tour and well worth the time and price of admission. It is a journey back in time with period pieces, family portraits and items which belonged to the Lincolns and Todds. It was interesting to step back in time and view the Presidency and the Civil War through her eyes - She was a very well educated woman and led a privileged life, and yet, she was the victim of a sad and tragic life. It was amazing to stand in a home where Lincoln would have stayed and touch the banisters he would have held - just an interesting visit.....

Thoroughly enjoyed this tour - $10 admission - with amazing collection of items carefully and thoughtfully assembled to show the life and times of Mary Todd Lincoln and family. Well worth the time and admission!

I like history, and they have a very nice tour of the home. I like thinking about the fact that President Lincoln spent time in the home and imagining life in the past.It is not a long tour, and it is right downtown. So a neat little touch to add to your trip.

Well worth the $10.00 it will cost you. Very informative, our tour guide answered all questions and was very patient. A must see if you're visiting Lexington and enjoy American history.

The tour offers great insights on Mary Todd and the era in which she lived. The presentations are interesting, factual and unemotionally historical with regard to the Civil War, slavery and Lincoln. The period pieces on display compliment the house as restored to its historical presence. Our guide was well informed and kept the level of interest high with her knowledge and quick wit. Highly recommend this as an hour very well spent!
