big sky community park

We'd been to Big Sky four winters for the skiing, and wanted to check it out in the summer, which by the way doesn't start till Fourth of July. We didn't know so went the second week in June to find it pretty empty and cool - 38 in the am. What we did find was this great Community Park on the east side of Meadow Village. If you have kids (ours are grown) this is a great spot with a lot of options including a Climbing Wall and a skate board area. We opted for the creekside hike (I forget the name, just follow the creek) which led to the Black Diamond Trail which headed up through the trees, criss-crossed the disc golf course, and provided great views of Lone Peak as well as the surrounding countryside. About 1.5 miles RT and 300' elevation - nice hike.
