morrell falls national recreation trail

Gave up about halfway to the falls. Too buggy - deep woods off didn't even work. Lots of mud. Back to the lake and a beer.

This is a mostly flat and easy walk (or ride) of about 2.5 miles from the parking area to the falls. In early June the falls were really roaring. The trail goes through a grizzly bear habitat in forest with a few small lakes just before the falls. I was surprised at the number of people we saw (on a Monday), given the out-of-the-way location.There is an outhouse at the trail head / parking area, but no running water.
