Pretty much a pub, but you walk up order and have a seat. It is like a cabin sports pub. A bit loud, but service was good. Food - pubby - hamburger and fries, but you can get a variety of toppings and types - I had bison.
The Great Northern peak was just amazing. Admittedly for a person scared of heights some of the areas were testing but it was totally worth it all in the end. The best recommendation I can make is to hike this trail with a friend because its perfect to share with someone close to you.
The Great Northern Mountain is one of the most visible peaks from Whitefish, MT and has a striking presence from the heart of the Great Bear Wilderness and the footsteps of the Bob Marshall Wilderness. It is an 8 mile round trip hike and the first mile and half are steep from the trail head. Then, it is strongly advised to stay on the ridge, do not get too low. There are several false summits and some fairly difficult areas and boulders to scramble - but nothing technical. The view from the top is incredible looking into the peaks of Glacier National Park. Not an easy hike and you should be cautious as emergency assistance would not be quick - but it is well worth the effort.
You can hike it and you can look at it other than that it is just a peak standing in the Bob Marshall Wilderness along a giant reservoir.
