Very impressed with the wide selection of preserves, veggies and local fruits offered at the market, along with mouth-watering assortment of baked goods. Enjoyed a flavorful coffee and treat while listening to some music, before purchasing some fruit and veggies to nibble on while travelling.

We were in Missoula on a rainy Saturday morning and stumbled on the market. While I think some of the vendors decided the rain was too much to show, there was still a good representation of craft vendors and LOTS of food/veggie vendors. The hot cups of cappuccino from one of the trucks made our walk around a lot more comfortable, and the bags of freshly picked huckleberries and apples made the rest of our trip a little yummier.

So many lovely craft vendors right in downtown Missoula, the Garden City. We really enjoyed our stroll downtown and walk through the Market. Fact & Fiction Books was also a quick walk from there. We were sad to miss James Lee Burke's book signing, but received an autographed copy when we returned home. Missoula is the one town I could really live in. People were so friendly and the town and its surrounding burbs are lovely.

Missoula has a surprising number of Asian gardeners/farmers who display their products beautifully. We even garnered some morel mushrooms. The Black Cat Bakery bread and pastries are excellent, and there's a very fine coffee stand by it. Beautifully flowers on sale, too.

Nice variety and good prices in an attractive location with good parking opportunities. Loved the opportunity to buy best beef and there are some nice surprises, as well as cordial vendors.

If ever you go to Missoula, make sure you visit the Farmers Market. It offers beautiful vegetables, flowers and plants all grown locally. Too bad I was flying I would have loaded up on the plants. The Market was divided up into three sections. First was the vegetables and plants, the second was all kinds of scrumptous pasteries and baked goods from the local Bakeries and independents. Coffee of any variety was offered as well. Missoula people love their coffees. The third was Arts and Crafts, again made by the locals. There were also individuals playing musical instuments, no bands, scattered throughout. Again locals. So much to see and buy, it was wonderful. There are a lot of talented people in Missoula. Make sure you spend as much time as you can and don't miss anything, take your time and soak up the atmosphere.

They have wonderful produce and starter plants for gardening. I recommend when the market opens that you attend it's got all the plants and veggies any heart desires.

This market has been around for years and it is a great local tradition. Start with a pastry and coffee or chai down by the XXXs then stroll through the Farmers Market to get fresh produce and flowers. If you are in the mood amble over to the next block to see local crafts. A nice start to your weekend!

Excellent place to get all your produce fresh. Enjoyable atmosphere at the Missoula Farmers Market and you might even see your friends and neighbors. Also there are various vendors with arts and crafts just two block south of the farmers market.

There are 3 markets to visit on Saturdays--the Missoula Farmer's Market at the end of Higgins street (by the three giant red X's); the Clark Fork Market; and between the two, the People's Market. Each has something special to offer. Baked goods of all kinds, huckleberries, coffee, Dixon melons in the late summer, and apples in the fall. Local veggies of all kinds make for a great weekly shopping experience. People watching is my favorite part of the market. The Clark Fork, by the river offer music and tables to sit at, as well as selling meat and fish. The People's market brings local artists selling leather goods, photography, jewelry, clothing, soaps--mixed in with funky, eclectic Missoula items. Generally the markets run May through October. Missoula at it's finest!

The market is wonderful. Numerous vendors proudly show and sell their garden wares. Close by is the Clark Fork River Market, with all kinds of wares available. Both markets are fun as can be, filled with happy people and old friends meeting and greeting. Downtown Missoula (where the markets are) is a lively, historic and beautiful location. If you are visiting Montana in the summer and early fall, a Saturday morning at the market is a must!
