Our hotel hot tub was closed so we got to visit free. They have 2 large hot tubs (outside). They also have heated pools indoor and out. The inside pool seemed more shallow and geared towards toddlers/little kids. There is also an outside sauna that was awesome for drying off before the walk back to our hotel.
The inside part is primarily for small children but you can swim under a plastic curtain and go outside to swim in the heated pool. The Hot tub at night in the snow was great.
heated pools are very nice, the hot tub was more comfortable...better get there before 5 in the afternoon, as it gets a little busy
Great theme and kids love it, however over half of the lights were broken, tiles with sharp edges that can and do cut you and your kids, Rotten wood around the hot tub this attraction needs some $$ infused to bring it up to Interwest standards. The manager stated that Intrawest had de-funded the repairs for 2 years in a row.
This place had a zero entry indoor and outdoor pool with slides, two outdoor hot tubs under cover, an outdoor sauna, and locker rooms. The pool is heated during the winter. They provide towels. If you book through the snowshoe reservation system, entry is free. It's definitely family friendly. We went about an hour before closing and there was a mix of adults and kids in the hot tub. They say not food and beverages is prohibited, however, we brought in a small soft cooler. Maybe they just didn't notice????
Very nice and clean indoor/outdoor pool. Also had hot tubs for adults and one for children. Towels were provided and staff was super friendly and helpful. We loved it!
It is awesome to swimming in the pool when the snow is falling. Absolutely perfect. Offers not one but two hot tubs. One enclosed the other in the open. Just love it here.
There were not enough chairs/loungers. When I asked staff for a chair, they told me a number of loungers were broken. They were accommodating and helped me carry out a chair so I could watch my boys in the pool. The inside slide was inaccessible. Both slides were small and would not interest swimmers over the age of 8-10.
Over the past 7 year nothing and I mean NOTHING has been done to maintain this area.. Tiles missing, Mold on the tiles, rusted and busted swim through to the outside pool. Missing and rotted wood in the Hot tub area, lights out everywhere, dark dim and cold. the indoor baby slide is about the only thing that the kids seem to enjoy.. I mean how much more could they (Intrawest) do to make this area a hit.... 1st maintain what used to be a wonderful area.. add a snack bar, replace the lighting with actual lights that work. I would rather pay the use of this area then to have it in such disrepair.
My 7 and 9 YO girls loved it. It is included if you booked your reservation thought snowshoe resorts. No need to go and pay a fee unless you ares ear hing for a change for the kids. The indoor part is great for babies and toddlers, but my girls really enjoyed it too. Outdoor pool had a small slide but otherwise nothing special. No need to go for adults ( since most lodges have their own hot tubs anyway) but a nice break for kids. Word of advice, they ran out of towels, may want to bring your own. Also, the locker room needs an upgrade. The rest of snowshoe is kept up so nicely, the locker room had a dingy feel.
The pictures in the advertisement made this place looks great. We found it to be crowded and the slide is very small. Probably a great pool for kids under the age of 7.
Children loved the place as it gave them nice change from the day time skiing activities. However, the place, especially outside pool area, could be brutally cold. Be aware.
There are two pools at Split Rock. A small indoor one with a toddler water slide and zero depth entry, a small a connecting waterway that leads to the out door pool. Which while in a nice setting - is nothing special. But lets face it - with kids and water it's hard to disappoint and mine all liked it. The do have a bit longer outdoor water slide - but it's not much.
We walked over to the pool from Leatherbark condos. There was no charge since we were staying at the condos. There is an indoor and outdoor pool and you can swim from one to the other. Inside there is a slide. The pool has a ledge all the way around it which is great when you are there with an infant and a toddler. We were concerned that because of the cool summer temps it would be too cold to swim but it absolutely wasn't. The pool was about 82 degrees and the hot tub was 102. Very pleasant. They watch the weather in a 20 mile radius so the hours aren't reliable in the summer. Be sure to call before you go.
There is an indoor pool play area for kids, access to the outdoor heated pools (which are still a bit cold in winter, duh), sauna, 2 hot tubs and a slide. Changing rooms and complimentary towel service. It gets crowded in the hot tubs and sometimes one is not open. Skip it if you are staying at Allegheny Springs and use your own pool...it's warmer and less crowded.
