We had a great time fishing Lake Pontchartrain with Captain John. He was very knowledgeable and guided us in catching a wide variety of fish. We limited out on black drum and also caught a lot of speckled trout. Besides helping us catch fish, Captain John explained what he was doing and why so we could learn more about fishing. We had had a lot of fun and recommend his service.

We went out this morning with Captain John and I will say it was the best charter ever and I've fished a fe in my days! The Captain was very knowledgable and professional! We caught tons of fish and had a blast! We will definitely be back!

We booked a charter with Capt John Falterman, Jr for May 1, 2014. We arrived at 6:00 AM to fish and the weather was very very windy. Capt John was very safety conscious and suggested that it was to dangerous to go out fishing. He moved us to Friday May 2 and we started out on our adventure. We had a marvelous time and Capt John was an excellent guide. He baited all our hooks and removed all the fish we caught. We caught 9 Red Fish, 1 Flounder and 1 trout. It was exactly what we had hoped for. I think we had about 35 Lbs of fish filets to take back to North Carolina. My husband is a very experienced fisherman and he was very please with this fishing event and Capt Johns knowledge and attention paid to us. We would suggest this trip for couples, families, friends or solo. The fee was very good for a full day of fishing!
