My friends & I had such a great girls trip a few months ago that we couldn't wait to go back again. They didn't disappoint! When I checked in the young lady actually remembered me from the time before & asked me how I enjoyed celebrating my birthday with them! I was so pleasantly surprised that she not only remembered me but that it had been a birthday trip. It made me feel so special! We had the buffet Friday & Saturday night. I cannot say enough good things about the food. It is truly the best buffet of any of the casinos I've been to. They never run out or run low on anything & the crawfish & crabs are seasoned so well, you don't usually find that at a buffet. What impressed me the most is to see what is obviously management in suits & ties pitching in and working just as hard as the servers. They never slow down. The hotel room service food is great too & the room service staff is so friendly as well as the housekeeping staff. I will be back again. I'm looking forward to summertime by the pool. I hear it's great! Thanks again L'Auberge BR! Until next time.
this casino is beautiful compared to the other options in Baton Rouge. The steak restaurant "18" is just mediocre and over priced. I've never left here a winner, but I'll keep trying! Wish they had some 10$ tables...
My wife and I visited this Casino for the Michael Bolton concert. This was our first visit. After concert wife played the penny slots as we are not gamblers. Didn't win but that was ok with us. This is a top notch facility and truly enjoyed our short visit here. We will keep watching their entertainment line up and hopefully return very soon. This time we will stay here. It's located away from everything else which is great. Your in your own world when you visit. Thanks to all for a wonderful evening and get more entertainment.
This casino has nothing to offer. No one wins here. You can try machine after machine and not win. Table after table and not win. The lazy river is nice but it is always packed - Really packed with people!
Always clean, good restaurants, great bar in the back with live bands. I have never stayed the night so i cannot comment on the rooms. The pool is not as big as the others in this chain in other cities. Great place to go if in town.
I've been to Vegas many times and while this is only one casino instead of a "strip", it certainly has that Vegas feel! Awesome restaurants from buffet to high-end steak house and a first class roof top pool and bar. Mini vacation for the locals!
The rooms are very nice and quiet. Very good restaurants however if you are there for a concert night you need to get there early or you will wait.
I would like to thank L'Auberge Hotel and Casino for sending me on a trip to the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas. I had a wonderful time and the service was excellent see my review on Trip advisor under MGM Grand Las Vegas, Nevada. The best trip I've ever taken. I got VIP treatment all the way.
We planned a girl’s road trip to L’Auberge and really enjoyed the casino. The rooms were spacious and clean, and we all found the beds to be very comfortable. Coffee and water are provided in the room at no cost. We did order a “medical refrig” at no cost. A mini refrig will cost you $25.00. The drinks in the casino were free and the cocktail waitresses kept them coming. We did have the $16.00 burgers at Favorite’s and were pleased when my little sister was surprised with a complimentary cupcake for her birthday. I spent a few hours in the gym as well as in the women’s spa. There is no charge for the private hot tub, steam and sauna. I did take advantage of the relaxation room in the spa and enjoyed a few cups of hot tea. There are lots of cute shops to browse in. Be sure and take the trolley over to the new Golden Nugget for even more shopping. There is a boardwalk and sand volleyball pit outside L’Auberge too. We had a good time regardless of how much money we left behind in the slot machines!
This "luxurious" hotel in lovely Baton Rouge sits in the middle of nowhere. The staff was indifferent. You have to get up, get dressed & go to the elevator in the morning JUST TO GET A CUP OF COFFEE!!!!!! Guess they were too cheap to put coffeemakers in the rooms. The TV would only turn up to a certain point so you better not be hard of hearing; and the guide feature of the TV showed every single channel as "Currently Unavailable", so there was no way to just go to a channel to watch something you wanted. You had to look at every channel. It was freezing cold while we were there, and the heater in the room took over an hour to warm it up. I'll take my $$ to Lake Charles from now on, to the Golden Nugget.
Don't waste your money at Lauberge. Their strategy is is get you to a higher level then totally neglect you. Their comps suck, the arrogant casino hosts don't care a bit, casino is attracting more low life clientele, horrible service, terrible valet services. I'm going back to the Hollywood. Better comps, service & food. Might not be a new boat but it's way better then Lauberge.
This Hotel/Casino has the worst customer service of any Casino I have ever experienced. This includes Vegas, Atlantic City and the Gulf Coast. YOU have to be a CAMEL to Gamble at this place....You can ask for help from the Pit Boss and still receive no Help! No One Cares or gives a crap. All they care about is the Rake....and trust me they are Raking it in. You would think with them making more than the other two Casinos put together you COULD GET A DRINK. Never cross that DESERT AGAIN!!
After having to travel to Biloxi or New Orleans for a good casino, the two ships in Baton Rouge are really antiquated and cramped, we now have a first class casino. L'Auberge is a beautiful casino in a beautiful spot. Right on the Mississippi. Usually there is a lingering smell of smoke in most casinos, but not at L'Augerge. The ceilings are high, and however they do it, the air is clean and fresh. There are plenty of slots, and tables. However, rarely are there $5.00 tables. The buffet is good. On Wednesdays, they have crab night. They used to have Dungeness crab, which were fantastic. No longer. Everyone is complaining about that. Also, the shrimp in the buffet are really small. You would expect more in Louisiana. The steak restaurant is fantastic, pricey, buy very good. Not as good as Besh Steak House in Harrah's New Orleans, but almost. The sports restaurant is good, but has a rather limited menu. I don't want to be negative, but since it has opened, the buffet and casino offerings are going downhill. These can all be remedied by a more attentive management staff. The crab night is now a dud!!! Even though I get a comp for the buffet, I won't go for crab night anymore. Instead, I go to Biloxi, where I can get the best crab buffet. Just like crabs, I guess. All in all, the casino is good, but as I say, it could be better on the food side, which I'm sure would keep people coming back.
My sister and I visited your casino today and we can truly say this is by far the cleanest casino! Cannot begin to tell you all the positive experiences we had beginning with registering for a first timer card. Everyone we encountered all day were courteous and helpful. Some going above and beyond with one lady in particular. Barbara Cochran helped me with an issue that had nothing to do with her job. Hard to find someone like her in this day and age. After reading some of the other reviews I am shocked. We found nothing like some people described. Could they be em[ployees from other casinos? We loved the place and will return often.
We're so glad to see that you chose L'Auberge Baton Rouge for your recent mini-Vacation! Thank you for taking the time to review your experience and for sharing those kind words. We have thanked Nick, Keller, Patrick, Tess & Maci for their hard work and shared your comments with the rest of our team. We look forward to welcoming you back to L'Auberge soon! Thanks!
