Wednesday you can golf 18 holes with a cart for $15.00. Weekdays only $20. Senior rate is $18.75. Fairways are not the greatest in the winter, but what a roll you get. For the price you can't beat it. Never crowded and no reservations needed.
Good lodging but needed to go into town for food, the food at the state park is severely lacking. It was edible, just nothing special.
We spent our Christmas at the campground, where we found other campers to be very friendly. Our pups even enjoyed the time spent there....I am quite sure we will be repeat cmpers here.
Spent 3 nights here recently - mostly just to shower and sleep, so I can't comment on the other resort amenities. The view from our motel room was beautiful - the lake and trees were stunning, especially around sunset time. It was incredibly clean. I was surprised at how spacious the room was. A walk-in closet was adjacent to a large sink and mirror, then the actual bathroom (separated by a door, tub/shower, toilet, another sink) was large too. The mini fridge came in handy, just wish there was a microwave. Again, I can't comment on the resort's amenities, but the room was a great value. If in the area again, I would definitely stay here.
Just spent the weekend at Lakepoint Resort State Park and had a wonderful time. The staff wasfriendly and always eager to help. Everywhere we turned we were greeted with smiles from thefront desk to the restaurant. The food in the restaurant was reasonably priced and always delicious. The sunset views from the restaurant was breath taking. The whole place wasspotless from my cabin to the grounds and inside the convention center. The pool was still openfor use because it was still in the 90's during the day and the manager said she would leave it open for guest use as long as it stayed warm. I love this place, and will return with my family next spring. Thanks to all the staff for making my stay so enjoyable!
Quite and serene RV camping. The beautiful grounds have walking trails, bike paths, and water making this a relaxation paradise. There are modern cottages, rustic cabins, a lodge (hotel), on-site restaurant, play area for kids, a marina, boat dock, general store, large picnic area, swimming pool, RV campgrounds, etc. We camped in our travel trailer at Lakepoint. The camp sites are paved and fairly level with a picnic table and fire ring at each site. The bathhouse is clean and the Camp Hosts are a friendly middle age couple that rides the area with their dog in tow often to check on campers. They have sites by the water with limited hook up and sites in well manicured wooded areas with full hook up.
We have camped here over the years and seen this place (the campground especially) slowly decline. It's sad to see how this place has gone from one of my favorite places in the '90s to what it is today.Don't get me wrong, it is still a wonderful place to visit, it's just gone down hill. This is truly a remarkable place; if you are interested in fishing, camping and enjoying nature, there is nothing better.
Sent my parents here for their 50th wedding anniversary. We went to visit for the day and spend time with them on the lake. We booked a 1 bedroom lakeside cottage for them. Plenty enough room for 2 people. Nicely decorated and ample parking for cars and boats. The boat ramp is right around the corner, but you can pull the boat up to the shore on a sandy area right in front of the cottage.
We stayed in a 2 BR cabin with 3 teenage boys. They were very clean and spacious with a beautiful private woods view with a back porch, picnic table and BBQ grill. They have not been updated in a while, but I still felt as though it was a great bargain. We only viewed the lobby of the hotel while checking in-which was gorgeous. The marina had several boat launches and docks, but we didn't catch any fish even though Lake Eufala is known as "the bass capital of the world". There was a fishing tournament going on and we saw them with bags of fish, but no one would give up their secrets! The negatives would be the crowded swimming pool, and cracked tennis courts. Staff was very friendly and golf course was nice. The downtown Lake Eufala area has some beautiful old houses and you can take a tour of the Shorter Mansion. We also visited the Walter F. George Dam, Kolomoki Indian Mounds and Providence Canyon State Park.
I have stayed here before. I don't know what happened but it is very sub par. Just ate at the Restaurant Seafood Platter was not completely thawed out. The whole place is just unkempt. Rooms are ok but hotel is generally filthy.
A great place to stay, quiet, clean, comfortable. The staff in the restaurant are the most hospitable.
Always good food at the restaurant! And at the grill! There are several new cabins on the lake for rental; also older cabins that have recently been remodeled and updated. The Resort was completely renovated a couple of years ago and is beautiful! The park offers a huge boat ramp and docking for house boats. Eufaula is famous for it's Fishing Tournaments. We are the "Big Mouth Bass Capital of the World." Come and go fishing with us!Lakepoint hosts our Independence Day fireworks every year, along with good music and fun for the children. Plan your trip accordingly!
Lakepoint Resort offers great camping, lodge, cabins, marina, beach and more. It also has a pretty decent 18 hole golf course right on the property. The boat launch will accommodate four boats at a time, large parking lot, gas dock and more. The campsites have the ability to beach your boat right next to your site. The lodge was recently updated and is very reasonably priced. It's located about five miles from downtown Eufaula and all that the downtown area has to offer.
We took a drive through this park and it is beautiful! There is a lodge that has a restaurant with hotel rooms and a convention center. Cabins for rent that aren't cabins, a nice campground where people actually live year round in their campers. There are facilities for bass fishing tournaments.
A beautiful state park located on the shores of Lake eufaula. There's a marina, public boat launch, very nice campground that can take everything from a tent to a 40' RV's. There are "cabins" for rent, but they are really nice little homes with all the emanities. The lodge is located right on the lake and is up to the standards of any contemporary first class resort. Lots of activities in the park and outside of it, and historic Eufaula is only a few miles away. The only part of the park I didn't like was the restaurant. The service is slow, selection is limited, and we and one other couple were the only ones in the place on a Friday night, which should tell you something. I don't know if the staff of the restaurant are state employees, but their attitude makes me think they are. There are plenty of places to eat in Eufaula, so you won't go hungry.
