hell bent fishing charters - private day tours

My wife and I spent a wonderful day fishing with Matt. He was very patient as my wife really never fished before. We caught lots of nice Rainbows, several Silver Salmon, and a Chum Salmon. It was a long day. Finished about 7 PM, at my urging. Matt was willing to keep fishing. This is a great operation. Anyone that wants to float a beautiful creek and catch a lot of fish with top notch guides this is the place. I hope to go back someday.Tom H

Lonn is the best! If your looking for an authentic Alaskan adventure filled with fish for all, I highly recommend this charter. Not only is Lonn very accommodating and friendly, he is also very patient with novice fishers like myself. He takes the time to show you and explain in detail why you are doing it and how to do it properly. I had so much fun I'm hooked... Pun intended! Our full-day (12 hour!!!) trip down Little Willow Creek with Hell Bent Charters was the highlight of our Alaska vacation. My family (including an 8 year old who has never fly fished) had an outrageous time catching trophy rainbows (20 inches), silver, chum, and pink salmon, grayling, and even a whitefish. We certainly lost more than we caught, but still ended the day with an impressive stringer. Guide Matt had infinite patience - untangling our lines, freeing our snags, changing our baits, and even entertaining my 8-year old - all while expertly rowing us down the Little Willow. We fished with other guide services while in-state, and many of them put us on the fish, but none compared in quality of service to Lonn and his crew. We are already planning our next trip to Alaska and this time a charter with Hell Bent will be more than a one day affair!

I can't recommend Lonn enough as a guide. My newly wed wife and I had an awesome day fishing for rainbows. It was practically non-stop action the entire time with some incredible rainbows. My wife had never touched a fly rod in her life before and was hesitant about it but Lonn was a great teacher and within no time she was catching fish ( including the biggest one of the day). It was one of the highlights to our trip to Alaska. We will absolutely go fishing with Lonn again on our next trip to Alaska.

Lonn is the best guide I have ever fished with and the only one my wife will fish with! He always makes us feel welcome and never makes us feel rushed. We have had 30+ fish days on more than one occasion and always have a great time. He is an expert on the water and is a great person to spend time with. We have fished with him countless times and can't wait to be on a river with him as soon as break up allows us to.
