Six Flags New England is a great place for thrill seekers and to cool off in the summer heat. The park is a combination amusement and water park. The park has a very good line up of thrill rides, such as, Bizarro, Batman, New England Sky Screamer, Mind Eraser, etc. Hurricane Harbor(water park) has two wave pools, a lazy river, a water coaster that's pretty fun, a river with waves, etc. The water park is my favorite spot because there are a lot of places to hang and chill, as well, as good rides. My favorite ride was Cyclone which was demolished last year to make room to a hybrid coaster called Wicked Cyclone, hopefully it's good. The park is a great place for teens and young adults, there are enough rides to satisfy any thrill seeker. Bizarro alone is an intense coaster that's over 200 ft. high. There are some down sides, such as, the price $60 for adults, $50 for kids under 54''. Its kind of steep price, especially because parking is another $20 per car. The food is also very pricey and mediocre. Its almost $4 for water bottle. I mean for what it costs you expect something good. I usually get stamped and eat outside the park. And if your visiting with little ones, this might not be the park for you. There are areas dedicated for youngers kids but nothing really stands out. They have improve in recent years in cleanliness, customer service, and shopping. Six Flags New England is good but not great, overall it really doesn't match the price for those with kids. But for those with a knack for thrills then it wont disappoint. I would have given it a lower rating but water park those make up for a lot, as those the fact that they are improving. If you're not a local I recommend using the Flash pass, it is expensive but it will allow you to get more out of your visit by skipping the long line. Also look for discounts online, and if your a AAA member get a discounted ticket there as well.
the combination of an amusement park and water park makes very high admission price somewhat worth it. Try to buy tix ahead of time, use coupons, etc.... to save time as lines are quite long getting in and at most rides The flash pass system is costly but does allow for multiple rides on the more popular rides.
I am a local here, and come all of the time! The only thing is that food is EXPENSIVE! $5 For a water? Way too much! The rides are good, can't wait for more!
Its nice to have an amusement park just down the road, the park is always improving and gets better every year.
A very fun park. The entertainment is divided in 3 section: Rollercoaster, Waterpark, & Entertainment Show. The latter was a Magic show, which was very entertaining and interesting. The Waterpark so wet & wild. The rollercoaster rides are bold & bizarre, especially Bizarro the ride (in case you haven't heard is Supermans enemy). Batman the ride is awesome. The food is expensive but I recommend to buy the drink offer which includes a six flag big bottle and an all day free refill. Make sure you catch Bugs Bunny & friends, and take pictures. Overall: Very fun & entertaining. Two thumbs up.
Dear god! We did surely have a blast during our stay at the Six Flags New England. We felt like little children running around the area and trying all of the rollercoasters at the theme park. I think we managed to try them all during our full day at the place. We also enjoyed the waterpark a lot and we surely had the time of our life (or at least the time of our trip). We were terrifeid, we were laughing, we were hungry, we were like children again. It surely was a great time here.We prebooked our tickets and parking fee and that med it all quite cheap in Europeand standrads!
I purchased the membership for myself, my boyfriend and 3 kids, 10, 12 and 13. We stayed at the local holiday inn when we went and would visit the park over the weekend. I found this helpful then they wouldn't complain so much about rushing through the park and not getting on all the rides. We would be able to pack our own food to help keep the cost down and eat breakfast and dinner at the hotel and only do lunch and snacks at the park. We also brought a cooler with snacks and left it in the car. It gets pricy with 5 ppl. The park is great. There's tons to do especially with the water park built in. The lines can be long but if you can afford the flash pass I say go for it, it makes the day go by so much easier. The food options are alright, it's greasy amusement park food and it's expensive. Think Disney prices. We also went for fright fest and that was a blast. They put in a great show. If you can make it to six flags, go for it, it's so much fun. And definitely go on superman.
Call me biased because this is my home park but I absolutely love Six Flags New England, it is hands down my favorite park out of all of the parks I've ever been to. The rides are awesome, the park is clean and the staff is friendly. The only downfall is I wish Hurricane Harbor had just a few more attractions and I wish that the park visitors where a bit more friendly, but who can help that?
Great park. I recommend everyone to go to it. Nice food, family friendly and plus a ton of thrilling rides that I enjoyed. The service is nice and there's not a long wait for the rides. It was a fun day with all my family and I can't wait till this summer to go again!
Okay, I'm not a kid anymore nor was my partner in roller coaster crime, but the rides here will bring out the screaming young fool in everyone. The Tower has a wry sense of humour (just when you think you're scared about shooting UP just wait, it will drop you before it's a rocket to the top). And the roller coasters are the Mercedes Benzes of their genre. Smooth as silk, effortless, and gravity defiant. At least one trip should be part of every little -- and big -- kid's summer fun plans.
This park is for everyone. But lately it has been taking a turn towards more thrilling rides. but they are creating world class rides and roller coasters. I am a rabid roller coaster enthusiast and coasters such as bizarro, the dark knight and goliath are some of the best around. With Bizarro being ranked 1 or 2 every year in the golden ticket awards and 1 or 2 in a national coaster poll. It has a 208 ft hill with a 221 ft drop at a 77 degree angle into tunnel. And this year they are turning their old classic wooden coaster cyclone and turning it into wicked cyclone. ripping out the old track and using the same old wooden structure and holding the most airtime in new england and 3 inversions it will be a blast when it opens in summer 2015. Not to mention the tallest swing ride in the world, new england sky screamer. I've been there around 25 to 30 times, the staff at times is rowdy. But the ride operators are super nice before your adventure on the ride. If you are ever around the area and you have an extra day i would recommend going here
This park used to be somewhat decent but in the last few years it's been taking a nosedive. There just isn't enough besides the waterpark during the summer months to come here. Employees here seem agitated and overworked. I blame the management of the park. Avoid if possible. Just isn't any fun anymore.
So skysreamer ALWAYS has huge line, so I would strongly recommend riding it early in the day. Also, Bizarro and Goliath and pandemonium most of the time have 30-45 waits on a average day. Mind eraser, batman, flashback, and scream never have a line exceeding 30 minutes.
Worst theme park I have ever been to. Detest. Despise. Abhor. Awful non-english speaking foreigners that dont understand you, little lone know what button stops ride in case of emergency. They don't take care of their workers. Are over-priced and dont maintain contracts with local businesses. Do not endorse this abominal corporation. They dont get my money ever again.
We have a great time everytime we go to sixflags. The only thing is the wait to go on some of the rides and food and drinks is a little pricey. But all and all it's a good time
