Its a shame that this place changed names and the course. Used to be kept up much better and didnt have homes on the course. I have been coming to this course since I was 10 years old and sold lemonade on the 13th hole. Mr. Gelt welcomed me then and did so until he passed on. I miss the old days and the former Crystal springs. At best, now its just o.k. Most likely will keep my memories and play somewhere else. Value/ condition is o.k. for doing a quick 9. Gotta call it as I see 'em.

5 straight days of heavy rain will make all fairways a little wet and bring out the cart-path only rule, but this did not cause us any problems walking the course. There are several scenic holes with good views of the Crystal Lake. A long cold wet winter damaged many New England courses and conditions look more like March than May, but sunshine and significantly reduced greens fees let you overlook the early season work-in-progress. The construction of new condo homes on former course land appears to funding some golf improvements such as replacing irrigation units. Unfortunately, this includes temporarilly shorting a long 4 to very short 3. The fairways are wide enough to allow flexibility but are seldom a straight line to the green. I enjoyed only having 1 forced carry over water.
