This is an important historical site in the Cape Ann, MA area, and it merits a visit, especially if you are in the area and love to hike. Taking a walk to the Paine House (1694) at Greenwood Farm, is like taking a walk back in time. The trail to get there is beautiful and when you come upon the bright yellow clapboard house with white trim, one almost wants to go inside and enjoy a cup of tea. Upon reaching the house, the view of the marsh is striking! Keep an eye out for blue herons and egrets!
