I've been going to the orchard since I was a little girl. It has the best apples anywhere, and they have added other fruit trees / pickables as well (I'm not the pick-your-own type so I don't know exactly what they all are, but peaches at least?) You can pick or buy bags of apples, apple and other flavored pies, and apple cider. Also ice cream, maple candy and maple syrup, old style candy sticks, local books and soaps, vinegars, baseball caps. After shopping you can read a beautiful memoir of Ipswich in the Depression, titled The Orchard, written by a beloved journalist, Kitty Robertson, who grew up on the road to the beach. The place smells heavenly and people are really nice. It's right on the road to Crane's Beach and you must, must stop either coming or going. Also around Thanksgiving.

It is worth standing in line for the freshly made cider donuts. Coffe and hot apple cider are available. Buy a frozen Apple pie to have as a delicious dessert sometime. There is an ice cream stand, and they also sell apples, produce, pastries, wine, and gifts. You can watch the cider being pressed, see farm animals, and take a hayride or walk through the fields to pick berries or apples. They also have flowers and pumpkins in season. The traffic can be very heavy on holiday weekends, so you may want to plan on being there early or late.

This is a fantastic orchard to bring the children. You can pick your own apples or simple chose your own out of the giant wooden bins in the farm house. They have a great selection of pumpkins in the fall as well. Don't forget the hot apple cider and donuts. They sell gifts, treats, wine, cider and ice cream. The animals are great for little children to view and they have a small playground on site. You can take a hayride as well. It is a special place that I enjoy visiting every year!

The late Summer/Fall here is a wonderful place to bring your family. Apple picking, hayrides, farm animals, choosing pumpkins, choosing from a wide variety of apples and a delicious variety of baked goods, fruit wines and prepared foods including their fantastic made on site Apple cider donuts. All at reasonable prices. Not far from Crane Beach if the weather is warm and only a few minutes from the center of Ipswich with many nice shops and great restaurants within all price ranges.

If you like real unadulterated apple cider, great homemade pies and other fresh apple products, you need to go to Russell Orchards. Besides apple pie they offer other varieties of seasonal fruit pies: peach, blueberry, and fresh cider donuts. During the summer you can pick your own strawberries and raspberries and even get plants for your garden. In the fall it's a great place to take the family apple picking.

We loved Russell Farms...laid back, organized and delicious. Cider donuts? A must! Take the hayride, taste the wines, buy their goods and support this business.

The usual orchard stuff - apples, pumpkins, hay rides, etc. They also have honey, wine, a bakery, cider, and the Best Cider Donuts Ever!!!!!! I'm saying 1-2 hours, but that's only if you're picking apples. The barn/store is wheelchair accessible.

Perhaps Fall isn't the time to go, cause just everybody goes in the Fall to the wonderful Russell Apple Orchards! I was there on a Sunday and there were hundreds of large wholesome pumpkins, squash, cornstalks and anything else one needs to celebrate Harvest Time. You wander around to enjoy the petting farm with a big pigs, lots of "bottoms up" ducks, ponies and goats and then you go into the fudge barn with the cider donuts! There was a line to get these, but it was very well organized and everyone was happy in good time and totally satisfied. I bought some homemade "Rose Hip" Jam which one seems to only find at this independent farms. (It tastes just great!) For apple pickers, there is a Pick Your Own option and you can take a big hayride out to pick or just for the ride. Check their weekend/weekday hours and if you can go during the week, you won't have to dodge all the happy little ones singing to the animals and carrying pumpkins twice their size! Lots to eat and see and they had a number of parking attendants there to keep the continual flow of people, just coming to buy things, and then the others coming to buy and play. It's located on the way to Crane's Beach in Ipswich, MA and I'd seen it for many years, but this year I actually turned in and visited and it was a real destination and a very special treat!

such a cute farm. We had a 4 year old and a 15 year old. Awesome time for apple picking. Make sure you go during the 1st week of October. There are lots of fresh apples. The bakery there is really good too, make sure you try the donuts!!(the line is worth the wait) The farm had hay rides which were very convenient to get to the orchards. Lots of barn animals to see. So much fun for the whole family.

Apple picking is great with the hay ride included. Good for family or just adults. Love to see the animals and the store. Well kept up. Worth a visit.

That is the finest farm I've been to so far. The range of production they offer is monstrously wide, given that you have opportunity to pick vegetables, fruits and berries yourself. The personnel is kind and friendly, that is the second thing you enjoy while visiting.Provided that you may try plants being grown, you have to pay only $3 per person for entering the orchard, which is fair, if you ask me. In addition, nice souvenirs are sold at Russell Orchards' gift shop - worthy things for everyday use.Something I strongly suggest that anyone coming there tries is their gorgeously tasteful CYDER DONUTS. Trust me, they are somewhat miraculous. Besides, it's only $10 for a dozen. It is a great experience for the whole family. We loved it there.

Love to take my godson picking Blueberry's mostly. Can be very hot in the sun; however, the reward is refreshments and other fresh items in the farm store. Particularly the homemade Apple Cider (non-alcoholic).

Our daughter enjoys visiting the animals and being able to feed the ducks ,but her favorite is seeing the apple cider donuts being made. The apple picking is always fun with the hayride too.

Enjoyed a tractor ride out to the fields for apple picking. Picked fabulous honey crisp apples and had a hot apple donut in the store.

I enjoy their bakery goods - especially the apple pocket pie - but find them a bit pricey. I was disappointed in the flavor of the pear wine.
