My friend got married here and it truly was the perfect setting. Rustic and romantic with a gazebo to make for some good photo ops. Not sure what the food cost so I'mNot sure if it was a good value, but we certainly had a good time. The food was good, nothing amazing to write home about but tasty. The only downside is that the dance floor is tiny so you probably can't fit more than 100 people for a party.
... we played this stunning course on our golf tour in the area... there are breathtaking vistas as you look out over the bay nearby... this course features the longest wooden golf cart path in the United States... would recommend this one to all levels of play... Happy travels
My best friend got married here and we absolutely loved the venue. It is rustic and romantic and the service was excellent. The gazebo made for some great wedding pictures and the sunset over the water was beautiful. I'm not sure what the food cost so I'm not sure how good of value it is but we certainly had a good time. The only downside is that the dancefloor is a little small so you probably can't fit more than 100 people there but if you have 100 or less it's perfect.
Best course in Ocean City. It's a bit pricey so come out around 3 and get the twilight rate. The course is a gem - especially those 4 or 5 holes on the first 9 that run along the bay. This is a very good test of golf.
Loved this course , great shape , grass range. Courteous staff , great challenge event, pace of play was 4:20 on weekday morning. Best part no wind
The views are amazing. Staff was very good. I ordered a filet for dinner and it was cooked perfect. Great place to go to get away from the craziness of OC. Would highly recommend!!!
We and our friends returned to this restaurant after about 6 months and were delighted to discover it's better than ever. Of course, the view is spectacular. What a warm welcome we received and our server was excellent. The crab soup was superb, as were all of our.meals. We are so pleased and happy that this is once again our favorite restaurant and thank you to Darren and all of the staff.
This was our second visit to The lIghthouse for dinner. On arrival we were greeted warmly and while waiting to be seated I noted that there were no window tables open in the main dining area. The manager quickly directed that we be taken to a section that was not being used at the time and we were provided an excellent table with a great view of the marshland, bay and Ocean City skyline. Service was prompt and we had our drinks and appetizer in good time. The appetizer of scallops in a great sauce with halved grape tomatoes was excellent. We ordered our entrees and it was quite some time before they were served. The garlic potatoes on my plate were just warm as was my filet giving me the impression that my meal had been sitting in the ready area if the kitchen quite some time before served. Despite that I was able to enjoy my meal. The steak was done to my satisfaction and the garlic potatoes were very tasty. The accompanying asparagus was done just right although just like the steak and potatoes they were a little on the cool side. My wife's dish of fish was more than satisfactory, according to her. All during the meal I noticed the manager actively participating in what was going in the restaurant. He was clearing dishes from tables, seating and greeting customers and generally trying to make his customers comfortable and happy. Although I was not thrilled with my entree I would give them another try at some time later this Summer.
I had the chance to play this wonderful track a couple of weeks ago. The wind wasn't blowing so it made for a really nice time. With the course being so exposed to the bay to catch it with no wind is almost near impossible. From the moment we parked the car, the staff was attentive and professional. The restaurant staff was great, even hinted on teh best menu item (the chicken sandwhich). Scotty the professional was great and even made a time for us at Rum Pointe in the afternoon. I would definately recommond playing here at any cost.
The Links at Lighthouse Sound is an absolutely beautiful 18 hole golf facility right on the Assawoman Bay directly West of Ocean City, Maryland. It is an Arthur Hills design and it will truly test your golfing skills...especially your driver to clear some of the many marshes in the area. This course is not for the faint of heart golfer. It is truly a tough test of your golfing ability. I'm not a very good golfer anymore at 69 years of age, but I still love this course. The clubhouse is beautiful and in great shape (see photo). The food is great, they have both a full dining room and a bar & grill area. The driving range and practice greens are more than adequate and are kept in great shape. The beverage cart service is excellent while you're out on the course. The greens fee is a bit steep for some folks at around $170 but in this case you truly get what you pay for. The course is kept in excellent shape!I always book my area golf outings through Mary or Kathy at OC Golfing (located in the Clarion Resort Fontainebleau Hotel, 10100 Coastal Highway, Ocean City, MD 21842) at 1-866-624-6534 (toll free). Tell them Walt sent you and they'll take great care of your golfing needs! If, like me, you love golf, try this course...you'll be glad you did!
One of the best and possibly THE BEST course in OC. Yes it is expensive and yes it's not going to be a three hour "fill in" round but with superb views of the bag / river / wetlands and OC skyline do you really want it to be over in record time? I don't like to wait on every shot any more than the next guy but given the difficulty of the course some delay is bound to be expected. Most players are playing it for the first time so it's simply not going to be a typical "club" round. The staff in the pro shop were attentive and professional and the starters were welcoming and friendly Plenty of forced carries so follow the tee/ handicap recommendations of the starter and don't use hole #1 and a gauge ( it's by far not an indication of what's to come). Plenty if trouble but few if any blind shots. Other than 1 and 8 no two holes are close to being the same
This restaurant is excellent. Food is consistently delicious. Presentation of entrees interesting and very appealing to the pallet. Michelle, one of the bartenders, remembers your name and is attentive. The wait staff know the menu well and they are always on the "ball". Not only is the restaurant one of the best in Ocean City, Maryland but the golf course is the best in Ocean City, Maryland.
Our annual trip to OC and once again played at Lighthouse. As spectacular as always. Staff goes out of their way to be friendly and helpful and Teed off right on time. Pace of play excellent and course was in just fabulous shape. For first time in 15 years playing here there was no wind which made those holes around the bay much friendlier to play. An absolute must visit when playing golf in OC
This is a beautiful course. Several very memorable holes. Course was in excellent condition. But the starter ragging me because we should be playing from the senior tees because it was a hard course. I lost 1 ball! I have an 18 handicap. I do not need to hear that BS. And I bought several drinks on the course for the foursome I was with. So I used later my debit card. I had to wait 1 1/2 hours for them to track down the beverage cart lady to get my card back. Yes, they gave me a free hat, but "come on man!"
This is a great spot for weddings with the amazing food! The stuff chicken is to die for, the rockfish melts in your mouth! The backdrop of sound and ocean city is beautiful!
