We were there to see "Sniper". A great movie in a great venue! The seats electrically recline w/ footrests...make it a good flick or you'll fall asleep! Concession area looks uninviting and expensive! Consider BYO. Will go back just for the seats!

We visited this theater about 4 times during the holidays, during the day and each time there was not enough help at the concession stand. The line was long and took forever to get anything. The prices are also very high at the concession stand. The seating in the theater is fantastic and I love the atmosphere.

I was introduced to Xscape and AMC Charles Town's luxury theaters and loved it. Although I prefer AMCs ability to pre-select seats, they sell out early and are slightly more in price. I decided to settle for Xscape. We pre-purchased tickets and got there very early for perfect seating. The reclining leather seats and footrest are nice and make for a relaxed, "at home", experience. My main problem with this movie theatre is their concession stand. I usually order popcorn at the movies. That's it. I see no point in ordering food as a much better meal can be purchased for much less before or after the movie. Nevertheless, I stood in line for 25 mins with only 4 ppl ahead of me, for a simple order of a large popcorn. The same person taking the order and money is the same person making the food. In addition, she's not taking the next order until she has delivered the food to the current customer. I witnessed her put pretzels to cook and wait for them to cook, change the bag of nacho cheese, put hot dogs to grill, make drinks etc. Why do they not have someone filling orders for those on the registers. I missed the beginning of my movie because of this. NEVER EVER again. If you cannot upkeep your concession, please take some of those useless, half-cooked items off your menu and stick to the basics.

What a movie theater experience! Great variety of all the new releases, excellent concessions, extremely well spoken and professional staff , and very very clean. Just when you think it doesn't get any better they had leather lazyboy seats that reclined. I couldn't recommend a better theater in the area. Stop reading this review and go see for yourself.

Hubby had been trying to get me to try this theater for months and when we finally did, it did not disappoint. Started out a little rocky due to our movie being sold out an hour before it was set to begin (BUMMER!) but we got seats for the next viewing which was a half our later--not too bad. They had reclining seats throughout the entire theater which were UBER comfortable and plush to sit in. Word to the Wise--GET THERE EARLY! We got there approximately 45 minutes before the movie was scheduled to begin and did not regret the wait. We picked out perfect seats and enjoyed our refreshments until the credits begin. Unfortunately patrons who came late were subjected to sitting in the first 3 rows on the floor (not stadium seating like we had) and were forced to look up at the screen although I heard some people prefer this view :/ Overall I would definitely visit here again, but you have to get there early or there's no point in going. Price was super, much cheaper than the theaters we're used to visting.

This theater has it's high points as well as it's downs but overall they have decent prices on the movies plus the highlight for us is that the two times we have gone there both rooms had RECLINER seating!!!Taking into consideration that I am also very pregnant, the bigger cushy seating is a BIG plus in my opinion!!

When this theater first opened it was very nice. Everything has gone downhill. The service is not great and definitely not my type of crown unless you go to a matinee. There was talking all throughout the movie, I would rather drive further for a more enjoyable experience.

Pick and choose your battle with this one. You want piece and quiet during the movie, go early and real early, but that hasn't help all the time. Go later, like after 5 and its conversation time during the show. Ambience is blah, popcorn all over the floor, service is like a snail and you can hardly see the movie times on 40+ inch TV screen that's hanging up 40 feet in the air. Wish they could let you pre-pick your seats like the AMC down the street.

Went to te Xscape theaters to see a movie with my girlfriend. Saturday afternoon so it was pretty packed, but no more than the usual popular theater. The big thing about this theater is the recliner chairs in the theaters...it might seem simple but it makes watching the movie pretty relaxing...nice plus for a date night. The only thing I didn't like about the theater was the sound system, it left much to be desired for even a basic theater. All in all a nice experience, will go back again.

I will not be returning. The temperature in the room was so hot that by the time we left the theater everyone was sweaty. One of the members in my party left the theater after it started to find someone to fix it and get a cold drink, but the concessions was busy and there were no available people. He came back in because he didn't want to miss anymore of the movie. This same person has a Pacemaker and heart problems. This is my main concern! Warm temperatures can cause him great difficulty breathing and an elevated heart rate. After the movie I tried to talk to a manege and waited about 10 minutes. I could tell that he really didn't want to talk to us so he hesitated. After I told him my concern about the temperature and that I wanted my money back for such an awful experience, the first thing he said was "Did you watch the whole movie?" Thus implying that since it has passed, that you no longer claim any responsibility for your customer. If this is your business practice, it needs to change immediately, because you have just lost 4 local customers. My intent with this message is simple, I want you to be aware that this is not good customer service. Especially since this is a new theater. I understand that this manager maybe VERY young and inexperienced, but he needs to be trained properly. When dealing with customers that are already upset, please don't make them more upset by antagonizing them and patronizing them as if they were beneath you.

This is a pretty new 14 screen movie theater in Brandywine. It is the best movie theater in Southern Maryland. Fast ticket line. Clean. Awesome theater. It has stadium seating (a must) and has super comfortable reclining seats (like your Lay-z-boy at home). Parking was no problem. Many places to each in same shopping complex, so a dinner and a movie is easy to do. We saw a 3-D movie that had been out for a few weeks already. Had no problem getting excellent center reclining seats for a 7:40 show on a Friday night walking in at last minute. However, I did see that the lower seats were not the awesome reclining ones. I would suggest that if you expect your movie to be crowded, to arrive early to get the really good seats and not the lower ones.
