I've been a railfan and model railroader since I was young, so I decided to stop by here after seeing the Hagerstown Roundhouse Museum. Unless you have little kids, I'd probably skip HRM and just come here instead.On the hobby shop side, The Train Room has a decent selection of HO and a huge amount of Lionel for sale. The museum was excellent - they have an enormous amount of Lionel trains, memorabilia, and all sorts of products that I had no clue they made (science kits, boats). I spent probably 40 minutes looking through the museum. My only suggestion is that some more signage describing some of the different items would be helpful.

By far the best train options I have ever been to. Our grandson, who is 4, loves trains so we always seek out some type of train visit when on our travels. The store was filled beyond capacity and had the most selection of Chuggington & Thomas that I have ever seen. Great little place!

If you have any interest in anything to do with model railways, then this is the place for you. A well stocked shop with all gauges and a separate room with a good layout for you to watch the trains running. There is a small charge for the model railway, but well worth it.
