Fascinating afternoon spent exploring this area of Cairo well worth it and bought Byzantine art to life.
The inside of the church was beautiful and definitely a must if in sharm. Beautiful stain glass windows, the ceilings are beautifully painted and there is a small souvenir shop on the way in.
The paintings and glass windows take your breath away. If you are a lady showing your shoulders there is a man who give you a shawl to cover yourskf.
Sunningly breattaking inside . Should be a must to visit.Truly beautiful . Peaceful surrounds an you have all the time to admire tis church
Well worth a trip. Beautiful church which apparently cost 12 million pounds sterling. Glorious faux stained glass windows. Very popular with tourists, it does get very busy.
Nice to see but not worth going out of your way for. However the area in general is worth a visit. Small church with some minor relics
Do not be put off by the security. Just go through the gates and you will be warmly welcomed. There is not a problem with photography as you walk around one of the most beautiful Coptic Orthodox Churches.Do not forget, there is a chapel downstairs as well you will be annoyed if you do not walk around and down the steps to see it.
This is well worth a visit just to see the artwork. The church is near a mosque which is also worth stopping and taking photographs of. It's not near much so you would need to take a taxi.
Per he map ref, less than half a mile from our hotel - Iberotel Palace - so a short walk down the road, and where do we end up? A half-finished mosque. So no idea yet, other than by reputation, what this church is like.
Just a short walk from the hotel, we set off to visit the Church where a lot of the hotel staff worshipIt was well worth the effort - you will find it peaceful, calming, and very very beautiful,we were made most welcome and it is a visit not to be missed.

Located in Haj el Nour, a more local area situated between Naama Bay and the Old Market. The church has inside a lot of amazing frescoes with drawings of Jesus which is painted in a very modern and narrative way. The church was chosen as one of the world's finest churches.
Whilst the church was beautiful I felt that the talk was rushed and was by no means the fault of the presenter. Our group had lost of questions but unfortunately there was another group waiting.
The church is, as my heading says, very beautiful. The paintings inside are truly magnificent ... apparently took two Egyptian painters two years to complete. The guide is very well informed & is multi-lingual, great if you wish to ask questions !!! There is a shop & cafe if you require refreshments. Well worth a visit !!!
amazingly beautiful church with such beautiful paintings etc inside and stained glass windows. It was gorgeous to see.
