We drove thru fern gully 3 times in total, fast and lots of sharp twistes in road. Beautiful greenery trees and plants. Stopped at all verndors with maryns paradise tours guide(Delton) was an experience but enjoyed and brought home some beautiful carvings

booked a trip that toured the hills around Ocho Rios including a trip through fern gully. The driver will not stop because he says that the vendors will bully the passengers into buying goods, to me that's apart of the experience and who doesn't need a woolly hat in Jamacia. They want you to save money for the shops that sell tat that they recommend.

Hire a transport company - Rusty @ 876-350-7498 or Errol @ 875-855-5919 and have them take you up this (very dangerous) road and show you hundreds of fruit, nuts and spices growing in this lush area.

It was a nice ride on a bumpy old road, I guess if your into it it would be ok. My expectations were way to high. These area to my liking could be way more picturesque if they would just clean it up, and spend weeks picking up the garbage. I couldn't believe the amount of roadside dumping and litter in such a beautiful surrounding. The views of Ocho and the ocean from the top were spectacular, all in all its part of the experience and YA have to go, just wasn't my thing.

I actually rode my bike through fern gully. I know I lost like 10 pounds on the climb it's steep winding n cars wiz by but I loved it especially the desent definetly not for the worry wart. I got to see all up close n personal. Met wood carver mr johnson well worth the ride

Disliked some of the wares sold by roadside vendors. (Sexually oriented wood carvings) One vendor did hair braiding! I got a braided hairdo that was the highlight of my trip. Overall, the gully was just mildly interesting.

We got to experience Fern Gully while on Marvyn's tours. It is a beautiful natural wonder and a definite must see while in Jamaica. Has over 200 different types of ferns.

Lovely drive along the highway. Breath taking view of different species of ferns. Some craft stalls, much less than I saw 10 years ago, also the quality of craft for sale has deteriorated.

We thoroughly enjoyed the drive up and down the hills of Ferngully. Along the road, however, is a vendor who sells carved art that will make your eyes pop out (of an enlarged male figure). While our adult group enjoyed the novelty, I certainly would not want my small school age children to witness it.

We had Julian as our guide. What a great kid. He made our adventure a great one. A must do in Jamaica.

Fern Gully is a lush green area on the hillside above Ocho Rios. We had rented our own car and drove through looking for the an area to stop and walk around and enjoy the gully. There isn't anywhere to park and walk around - at least we couldn't find one. As with much of Jamaica, there aren't a lot of signs or they aren't very big. This was disappointing but the area is really beautiful.

You can see why this beautiful, local haven has been the inspiration for many fairy tales. A must see.

A long and winding climb out of Ocho Rios on the way to Kingston.Hundreds of Ferns to see on the way.At the upper end you have the rain forest where there is a small bar and souvenir shop.A good place to have a pit stop.

Wow!!! Nature at it best. I actually drove through Fern Gully and was not terrified - it was not as scary as it looks, the road is winding and narrow. Proceed with caution...
