I'm going to preface this review by saying this...you are on a beach in Jamaica. Unless you are allergic to salt water and sunshine you will probably have a fine time. We did. That said, there really isn't much to this place. It was rather underwhelming. Our cruise ship pulled into Falmouth (not really that impressive) and this was the only place we had a chance to see on our stop. This was our first trip to Jamaica and, that said, I think we expected more. Something more incredible, something we'd seen in brochures, something that would make us ooh and aaah. This was fine, but we didn't have that reaction. The water was clear and blue, no snorkeling worthy of mention. The beach itself is really small, it packed up pretty quick and we were the only cruise ship in port that day, I can't image it with more people. Don't go outside of the roped area, there are rocks and stuff and your feet won't like you if you do. Inside the roped area is perfect, easy for swimmers of all abilities and very relaxing and fun. (again, you are on a beach...no problems, only situations!) The staff was great, hospitable and attentive. If you are expecting a luxury resort, this isn't it. If you want a nice. cheap, well kept beach day with minimal frills and fuss, this is it. I wouldn't go back but I would go once. Enjoy!
This is a small, private beach, only accessible to cruise ship guests. There is plenty of shade. Chairs can be rented for $5. There is a bar and food for purchase. Bathrooms and changing rooms are also available. It is in the middle of nowhere, behind fencing with barbed wire on top. The guards and workers were wonderful. Hard-working people who are thrilled when the ships come in. They just want to work. They couldn't have been nicer. Transportation was provided to beach and every half hour shuttles back to dock. A relatively safe beach in Jamaica.
Red Stripe Beach is a private controlled beach area with no on site beach aggressive vendors, beautiful water shade tress and sand.
Sem desmerecer outros belos lugares de Falmouth e Montego Bay, mais um lugar impressionante do encantador paraíso caribenho.
