Beautiful at all times of the year, but particularly during the spring run off when water is high. Beware of mosquitoes in early summer. They can be aggressive. Stop by in the winter for some frost displays. Not too busy...just hikers and mineral hunters.

Watch carefully, you don't want to miss it! Located on the York River, in the middle of nowhere. Drive down the short unpaved road to a small parking lot. Walk 10 minutes and VOILA! GORGEOUS views!

We love Egan Chutes. We take multiple trips every year and love looking at the waterfall. Recommend that you bring bug spray!

The road going in is rough...better to walk in. Its worth the visit. Spring time, when the water is really high is the best time.

Stretches were in poor shape after heavy (flooding) rains of April, and some fallen trees across paths, but beautiful before the bugs were out. Wildflowers; saw nothing but footprints--a large dog?--and an abandoned sleeping bag at the falls overlook.
