sawmill golf course

My golfing buddy and I play this course regularly. We find it fun and challenging. The staff in the pro shop has always treated us nicely. The course is not the best maintained in the area, but we find, as seniors the green fees are most reasonable, especially compared to other courses. We enjoy this course

My husband arrived at 6:15pm Sunday evening to play a short nine. We were not given nor saw posted any information regarding time closures of the course. We were refused out of hand from playing 9 holes, refused a cart, refused permission to walk the course, refused clubs even though we both had a set in the car. My husband was dressed appropriately and I was going to change. The incredibly rude older man that we had to endure, and I refuse to designate the term " gentleman" to him as he clearly was not, stated these facts, walked over to the young woman working the food station outside and dismissed us as irrelevant. I have lived in this area my entire life. I work in the hospitality industry at a winery and I have NEVER been the recipient of such egotistical and elitist behaviour. I will not be referring any guests to Sawmill Golf club .

Sawmill is one of niagara's favorite golf courses. good elevation changes , immaculate greens and fairways are the norm here. Unfortunately i played on a day that had extra long rough with flowers actually growing in it. For $64 with cart this is probably one of the worst golf values in the region at this moment.Also there was no beer cart girl, and the restaurant was shut down at 5:30 so no beer after the game either.
