pigeon river provincial park

This park has great waterfalls with two views. It's a nice park and we enjoyed the great pictures we could take.

We went into Canada to visit Thunder Bay, and this was a brief stop along the way, mostly to unkink our legs.Really nice views, and glad we did it.On the whole we took a wrong turn into Thunder Bay, and saw the grittier side of the city. It took away from the trip.Unless you have a lot of time, I'd probably not recommend it as a day trip from the North Shore in Minnesota. It's a lot of driving for not a lot of time to really explore

We drove up 61 from Grand Portage then traveled west on 593 to the middle falls on the pigeon river. The falls are about 20 feet high by about 60 feet wide. This is worth a stop if you are on the way to the High Falls anyway...about 10 minutes west of 61. Falls are right along the road

I didn't know what to expect because I didn't see many reviews of this place. However, due to convenience of location, nice views, and some nice hiking, this is a worthwhile stop! From the visitor parking area we made our way down the boardwalk out to Pigeon Bay (wheel chair accessible to the bay) and then north from there, then west to High Falls... beautiful falls with good access from a couple of angles. Worked our way back another way (the High Falls is on a loop) and headed east from there to Finger Point trail (not a loop). Finger Point trail was about 2-2.5km from the visitor center. After a few ups and down you have a decent climb of about 40m to the top of the bluff, a small rock outcrop... BUT you're not quite done yet... keep looking for the trail to continue and end with a bench in the shape of Lake Superior. Great views, nice day-use only park (no camping).

we stopped one time after driving by hundreds of times. the information building is very nice, but we walked on the trails behind nice little walk usually on wood, nice lookout at the end. great way to stretch your legs.

The upper Falls are Great to see! Sort of Neat as you are standing on the viewing platform and you look on the other side and see Minnisota's viewing platform! I believe the Canadain side has the better view of the Falls! The walk is certainly do able, but wear hiking shoes! The Falls at Kekabeka are definitely more impressive, but if you are wanting to do some hiking take these falls in to!!

Os parques que ha nessa cidade sao todos lindo, o que nao 'e diferente desse. Ir com os amigos 'e a melhor opcao e levar ns lanches tb 'e super legal.
