Our family had an amazing outing at Trout Creek Farm today. We felt it was the finest "U-catch" operation we’ve ever visited and our grand-son, Tucker, was thrilled to catch his very first rainbow trout, a 19 inch beauty! I’ll never forget the look of sheer joy on Tucker’s face! We will definitely be back. And a special thanks to Karl, the owner. He is a friendly and patient individual who is totally committed to running a top-notch operation. We had a special and very memorable experience.

Fun spot to take young kids to easily catch their first fish especially for families without a lot of fishing experience and equipment. There are two ponds to choose from with clean water and it is fun to watch the fish swim and jump happily in the water. No fishing license is required, all tackle is provided and with only a few casts and the help of Karl (the owner) we easily each caught a fish. We used a fly with a bobber, both handmade by the owner who is a bit a character, and perhaps a little too helpful at times. This worked like a charm and no biat was needed. The fish were also cleaned for us by our request ($).There is a small playground for young kids to stay amused and BBQ's (bring your own briquettes) available to use along with picnic tables. It was very enjoyable and a very fun experience for our kids but it did add up - it is so easy to catch the fish - we caught 5 and spent $93 (admission, fish and cleaning).
