cascade falls

We visited the falls a couple of weeks ago. There has been a lot of new wooden structures put in place along with new bridge.We missed the pathway that took you up to the falls and walked up the road which was quite steep. Wear good footwear.We were able to hear the falls before we reached them they are very nice.There is a metal suspension bridge that takes you to the best view of the falls.This maybe busy on a weekend as its the only way across, you have to come back across to get to the pathway that follows the river.We had a picnic on the riverbank lovely clean, clear water small sandy beach with large rocks and old wood littered along, very nice for kids to mess around in.Nice area through the forest but not many trails to walk on.We missed the trail up to the top of the waterfall as it was to steep of us to climb but if you are young and fit no problem.Don't think it would be good if you had children in strollers with you.Enjoy.

Awesome place to go and explore with friends and family. I suggest bringing extra clothing if you wonder off the trails to get a closer look at the waterfall.

We happened upon this beautifiul attraction by accident while driving around the area. We decided to follow the road, parked and followed the trail which took us up inclines, and stairs etc. to see a lovely view of these falls. Recommend the side trip.

We went to this location last November (2013), and were the only ones there. The walk to the falls is a short one from the parking lot, and there is a tiny stream that is covered by stairs and bridges on the way up to the lookout platform. As much as I love the main falls I took a lot of pics of the smaller falls.They are in the the midst of installing a suspension bridge over the falls and the park is currently closed until the bridge is completed. The website says it should be open Fall 2014.

My hubby and I love going here. It is a good short hike up to view the falls. The terrain is steep and a bit rough so wear good foot wear. We really missed going on this hike this summer as the falls were closed while they built the suspension bridge. I will update my review with photos once it reopens later on this month.

It's a really short walk to see the falls, beautiful water and great scenery. It's a shame they've fenced the area off but it's still pretty.

Went there two years ago...had the scare of my life. Would not recommend visiting here unless in a group but certainly with more than two people!

Very short hike to the pools and river below the falls. Ten minute hike to a view point of the falls. Parks board is putting in a suspension bridge in front of the falls. Very quiet when we were there. Water is cold but take time to get used to. It and it will be rewarding.

Beautiful spot - I have been going there for a visit every summer since 1985. For swimming head about 300 meters upstream of the falls. Lots of awesome little swimming holes.

Was quite a long drive for a very short hike. Make sure to bring a picnic to make an afternoon out if it! Hike can be steep in some parts.

Easy short hike, we did a trash the dress shoot here. Its not overly busy most of the time which makes it worth going to.

Nice and close, quiet, easily accessible and lots of choices where to swim and picnic,well cared for trails.

At the bottom near the parking area, access to the creek is easy and a cool spot for family picnics. The walk to the top, either following the road or on the trail, is quite steep, but lots of places to pause and enjoy the river and falls. All areas are well fenced. At the top, the river levels out, and there are great rocky areas to scramble, relax, or even take a (freezing) cold dip.

If you jump the fence and go in the out of bounds area it is amazing... however, it is dangerous so venture at your own risk if you are in good shape and are good on your feet.

A good location for family hike with small children. Easy hike, falls isnt that amazing but its a good get away. Bring picnic stuff, bring a camera and have fun. Its advantage is that its relatively closer to Greater Vancouver area. Roughly an hour drive as oppose to Mission or other further places by Hope. Highly recommend.
