burra railway station

This railway station has been restored by the locals with the help of an amazing individual person. It is like a step back in time to visit and experience how travel was back in the steam time.

This is worth a visit, doesn't cost you anything and when you think that it was renovated pretty much by one guy you can appriciate the passion. Would love to see it as a working station again.

Another historical building saved. beautifully restored. Great historical photos and information present explaining the signifigence of the station. The staff were very friendly and chatty making this a well worth visit in exploring the history of Burra.

Driving down railway tce towards the railway station and a car pulled up along side near the Railway Station and asked if we were interested to have a look inside( Sorry I forgot to get his name) He explained the whole history of the place. This a must visit..
