The quality of food served here is just stunning and it is definitely worth a visit for the food and the lovely location. The restaurant is light, clean and not stuffy or pretentious and has a great ambience and really helpful staff. We had a number of their dishes (see photos) which we shared. The quality of ingredients and the inventiveness of preparation was Michelin star quality. The wines were nice but not particularly special but you should book a table for a relaxing lunch and then sit outside on the deck and chill after lunch overlooking the vineyards.
Perfect afternoon lunch (salmon salad, tuna sashimi and decadent chocolate dessert). Wine also very good. Lovely to sit on their patio and look out over the water. We happened to stop here when looking for the Meadowcreek (or something like that) winery that our guidebook had touted. Guess what...same place with new owners. Really enjoyed our visit. Highly recommend.
We had a very interesting wine tasting at Frogmore Creek after recommendation from another vineyard. We arrived just before closing time on our route to Hobart, but we met a very service minded girl who presented us eight different very good wines. We bought some of the wines and enjoyed them for many days afterwards. We can highly recommend this vineyard.
Food was everything we were expecting and more. Service was excellent, staff friendly and knowledgeable. Wine good too. A beautiful place and a must do when you are in Hobart.
We visited Frogmore Creek and we delighted with the wines. We bought a bottle of the Pinot Noir and saved it to drink on Valentines day as a special treat.
We dropped in to taste their wines and decided to have an afternoon snack, we chose the tuna sashimi which has to be one of the nicest tuna dishes we have tried. The wine that accompanied it was a great choice. Service was fantastic as well.
We chose to have lunch here spontaneously as we passed by.stunning views and fantastic food..glad we stopped
Went here for a friends wedding a few weeks back. Really nice location, great set up and was the perfect setting for a great day and evening. Ceremony was a simple set up overlookning the vines and only 50m from the reception area. Service was fantastic, meals were great and would highly recommend this venure for anyone getting married!
Ahhh Frogmore! Always reliable with unique, quality food, bright and cheerful presentation with casual but professional service. There is a special ambience with the love and planning that has gone into the building and decor. Pop in for a meal or just a browse. We will return.
This place was a random pick as I drove down Richmond Road. I didn't expect much of it and never expected it to look like that. I have this 4/5 for the amazing views from this Vineyard. It is a nice place to just relax on your own, with mum, family or friends. They have a nice grass area for the kids to roll down the hill, while we soak up the views. Mum and I did the tasting which is your average $5 to taste the range. It was busy and I did feel sorry for the staff although there were other staff on other small duties, perhaps untrained to serve the tasting but having one to serve 3 customers at once, and the other to wipe glasses isn't sufficient. That was my only downfall, but the sweet Asian lady who had us was pleasant and apologised for the wait. I would be happy to come back
Arrived at Frogmore Creek Winery after a recommendation and we were Initially disappointed at not being able to secure a table for lunch in the restaurant BUT we were able to secure a table on the deck which looked out apon vineyards and a lovely water view in the distance ,although this seating is without reservation I would advise arriving just before 12 to miss the lunchtime rush of tourists .The food is tapas orientated and we shared 2 dishes between us ,which we found was ample .. The wine was pleasant , the sun was shining the staff were friendly ,the food was great and it's on the list to revisit next time we are in Hobart
The vineyard has a very nice restaurant, which serves good food and wine with a relaxing view. Other than the wine tasting, the coffee is also surprisingly good. But the food is quite pricey.
I have to say this was the worst food experience I have ever had. $80 for six very small servings of highly salted food that was heavily laced with fatty cream. The beef was said to have been cooked for 52 hours and we were told it would melt in our mouths. It was tasteless and stringy and barely fit for eating. The one star I give is for the scenic setting,
Totally in love with what the new chef is doing. I love the wow factor. We always share plates and have to reorder sometimes because we adore it. The deserts are incredibly special using seasonal fresh fruits with great twist. I love taking guest here they are always trilled with their meals.Wine list could be more extensive.
We sat on the deck enjoying a beautiful pinot with goodies from the Deck menu for a couple of hours gazing at the everchanging landscape view. Can't wait to return.
