promisedland cordalba state forest

Just after Childers on the way to Bundaberg are the Promiseland Mountain Bike Trails. Having ridden most trails in the state and many of the best in NZ my expectations were not that high. I was very wrong. This is a great network. It is particularly natural and not over groomed. There are a mix of easy and intermediate. The latter just have the occasional section where, if riding at pace, some skill is needed. I've heard the locals began holding cross country mountain bike races out in in July 2014. Though the network is not as extensive as many others in the South East of the state there is a lot of evidence to show active trail work is at hand.
