morrisons of glenrowan

Very friendly and down to earth small family winery. Always nice, their Fiano wine is especially of note and worth trying (and buying). No pretensions. We visit hundreds of wineries so its benchmarking well.

We were staying at the Glenrowan Caravan Park next door so decided to pedal our bikes over to Morrisons for some tastings. By the time we pedaled up the steep road and then the driveway we were in need of some liquid refreshment. Maxine was serving in the tastings room and was very lovely. She made the whole experience enjoyable and shared her knowledge of the wines and her father's passion for the winery.Maxine kindly let our children play with her fabulous retro dolls house and the thomas the tank set. Usually we feel the need to purchase out of sympathy when we stop at smaller wineries. Fortunately for us the wines were lovely and very well priced. Not sympathy purchase this time as we came out the winners with a couple of Shirazs including The Siege.Highly recommend popping in. You won't be disappointed.

Great variety of reds and whites and the most delightful hosts. Spectacular views out to the high country. Recommend the family reserve Shiraz.
