Hi Mick, Thanks so much for your review! So glad you enjoyed your visit and hopefully next time you can sit and soak up the views of Buffalo with a glass or two! See you next time. Cheers! :-)
Nice quaint place to taste some delicious wines from the Alpine region. Spectacular views to Mt Buffalo, I grab a bottle and tasting plate or bring a little picnic and kick back. Annie and Bruce are great hosts.
Excellent vineyard in beautiful location. Great selection of wines. Annie and Bob were great with the homemade bread an added bonus.
If you are in the Bright area highly recommend you take the time to pop into Ringer Reef. Run by Annie and Bob this place is wonderful. Lovely wine and stunning views not to mention Annie's homemade bread which she brings out when you are doing tastings:)
This winery is directly off to the side of the Mountains Rail Trail, not that far from Porepunkah. It is a very short and easy climb above the trail and affords lovely views over the valley, so a great place to pull up, order a platter and have a glass of wine before proceeding. The couple who owns and run this winery are incredibly friendly, informative and to top it all off, the wine reflects the owners extensive experience in the industry. Relaxing, and definitely a spot to visit. ****1/2
Hi David, Thank you for your glowing review! We're so glad you enjoyed your visit. It is very special when there is snow on Mt Buffalo. We look forward to seeing you again. Cheers! Kylie, Annie & BruceRINGER REEF
Ringer Reef is a little winery nestled into the hill of the Alpine region, and is a jewel in the crown of Alpine wineries! Owners Annie and Bruce are friendly and welcoming. Annie's crusty bread is to die for and the wines are amazing. This, coupled with the ambiance of the cellar door, makes for a very pleasant stay!
The views from the cellar door is stunning. Wine at a high level for such a small vineyard, with a very wide range to pick from
Ringer reef is a lovely place to visit in a beautiful part of Victoria, from the cellar door you have amazing views across to mount buffalo. Once in side you will be greeted by Annie who will treat you like an old friend, the wines on offer are a good example of small producing winerys and they have some unique wines like montepulciano and sparkling merlot.
We had a lovely few hours at Ringer Reef. A quiet and friendly winery with passionate staff. Kylie took us through the tasting list and we were impressed! The tastings were accompanied by stories of the origins of the winery as well as the stories of individual seasons and vintages. We then took a glass out onto the deck and enjoyed the spectacular view of neighbouring mountains, surrounded by roses in the gardens. A wonderful part of visiting Porepunkah.
Fabulous small and friendly winery in the Alpine Valley Victoria, love going there to share the views, time with good friends and great wine.
We enjoyed a lovely platter with a bottle of bubbles on the deck. Great views over the vineyard of Mt Buffalo. Definitely top of the list on the cycle trail for a revisit.
We visit Ringer Reef every time we go to Bright - once or twice a year. Our favourite wine is their Rose - followed by Petit Manseng. We love chatting to Annie - enjoying her bread. We were concerned last time we were there - week before Easter - as Annie wasn't there - Kylie was there instead !!! Was Annie OK ??? Kylie assured us she was fine just busy with other things. We actually ran into Annie at IGA in Bright - she was checking on their sales of Ringer Reef wines.Kylie was great to chat to also. Look forward to visiting again in late September.
