As described, a progressive lunch over 4 of Rutherglen's many excellent wineries. Cofield's Picked Sister has a well deserved reputation as a lunch venue and they provide the food. You carry your 'cooler bag' containing 4 courses to each venue, tell them you have arrived and they set up a table, crockery and give you a glass of wine. You are welcome to taste any of the wines before hand and change the selection if desired. We, (Melbournian couple) had some friends from Margaret River WA to impress with Vic wines. The Food Foray just made their experience even better. They were super impressed by the friendliness and knowledge we encountered in all the (10+ wineries) we visited. The food was great, and, there was plenty of it. The staff at each venue were amazing, with a particular nod to Pfieffers, their setting by the bilabong and welcome of pre set table with reservation made if very special, to say nothing of the wines on offer. We picked up the food at 11.30 and were winding up at around 4 at Campbells, with stunning Muscat, soaking up each varied location and course.Highly recommend this, however, choose your driver carefully, very, very tempting to get 'excited'.

The Seasonal Food Foray is a progressive lunch held across 4 excellent wineries, closely located in Northern Victoria. The food is picked up from Pickled Sisters Cafe at Cofield winery where the first course is hosted. The wineries (Cofield, Pfieffer, Stanton & Killen and Campbells) all set up a lovely table and provide a glass of food-matched wine. The food was outstanding and the quality wine perfectly matched. Our highlight was the second course; Milawa Free Range Chicken & Pistachio Terrine with peach chutney, which was served at Pfieffer on the old pedestrian bridge over the Murray River.A must-do for anyone visiting Rutherglen who enjoys great food and wine.
