Loved the sea, the view, the serenity. Bathroom facilities completely inadequate. Disappointed that umbrellas and beach chairs had not been set up yet

Of the three beaches in Armenistis, this is the largest. Very beautiful, chairs and umbrellas to rent, food and drinks available, and there's a little supermarket less than half a mile away.

Travelling from Nas, you go through Armenistis and there is a long beach called "Mesakti". This beach is excellent and sandy! On the left side it's ideal for families and pensioners, as the sea is calmer and warmer. The more to the middle and right you go there are more waves, ideal for the surfers and cooler water. There is a snack bar there as well!

This is a really beautiful beach with a limited amount of shade. We were there in late May/ early June and it was really quiet but judging by the number of sun beds stored in one of the bars( not yet open) it may be busy in July and August. The sand is gorgeous and we found swimming was lovely; the waves on breezy days make it fun but it is a place to be careful with little ones if the wind is up. Walk across the beach from Armenistis and visit the terrapins in the fresh water pools at the back of the beach. There is also a good taverna at the end of this first beach at the top of the steps if you need a break en route. At the far end of Mesakti beach is a lovely church and you can get to this easily using steps at the end of the beach and then a 5 minute walk over the little headland. If you go there are some tavernas here which are really good situated overlooking a harbour. You don't need to walk along the road - it takes longer.

Mesakti is a very beautiful sand beach with fresh and clean waters. I think it is one of the best beaches in Ikaria. The place is full of young people, there are umbrellas and sun beds and there are two bars playing relaxing music and some cantinas. There are also some camping tents. Of course when the wind is strong (it happens very often in Ikaria) the waves are big and then you must be careful especially with children.

very relaxing beautiful beach with some nice, quiet bars. One end great for surf when the wind is up, the other calmer for children who don't like big waves.

We stayed in Armenistis and hiked across 2 beaches and 2 sets of rocks to the church on the sea. It's a fun and beautiful area. It's much quicker to walk the beaches and the rocks than it is to walk the long winding road between Armenistis and the church. Be sure to stop and feed the turtles along the way on the fresh water river off behind the beach.

The water in the Armenistis bay gets filthy during the high season, because of endless north wlnds, which don't allow the water to be refreshed. The rest of the year it's perfect for an unforgettable swim...

Great stretch of sand.. with sun loungers / umbrellas (7:00 euro- 2011) a pair..A couple of Bars / Cantina serving basic but good snacks..Not overly crowded (June/July) Sea can get rough with strong under currents .. so care needs to be taken..

Мне очень понравилось отдыхать на Икарии!Для тех, кто ищет развлечения и веселые компании, это место не очень подходит. Остров спокойный, его даже можно назвать нетуристическим. Но(!) иногда в центре Икарии (туда можно без проблем добраться автостопом проходят потрясающие фестивали Икариотико с греческими музыкой, песнями и танцами, ну и, конечно, с вином и мясом) Это нечто грандиозное! Атмосфера на фестивалях непередаваемая!Греки замечательно поют и танцуют, и каждый может присоединиться к сиртаки).Еда в тавернах очень вкусная и недорогая, порции огромные! У меня до сих пор текут слюнки, когда я вспоминаю о местных блюдах)Эгейское море, на мой взгляд, одно из самых прекрасных морей-вода прозрачная, с бирюзовым оттенком-плавать одно удовольствие. Я отдохнула на Икарии от души-и мои 10 дней на острове были маленькой жизнью-яркой и наполненной!

Μεγαλη παραλια με αμμο και ευκολη προσβαση,προσφερετε για χαλαρωση, μετα απο μια κουραστικη μερα εξερευνησης στο νησι.Ειναι οργανωμενη με ξαπλωστρες και καντινα για κρυα αναψυκτικα και οχι μονο.

Όχι κάτι τρομερό, το νησί έχει να δώσει πολλά παραπάνω. Παραλία για άραγμα στην άμμο με ωραία μαγαζάκια απο πάνω.

Ampia spiaggia di sabbia, mare pulito e azzurrissimo, piacevole brezza dal mare, onde divertenti e bar da spiaggia con bella vista e frutta e stuzzichi i notevoli, con musica di sottofondo. Presenza di Beach volley e pubblico giovane. Fino alle 12 praticamente deserta.

Nous connaissons beaucoup d'îles de Grèce, et nous pensons que Yaliskari Beach est l'une des plus belles et des plus propres
