triopetra beach

We were here in october and thought it was the best beach we had seen in crete - and in most of the med! At the end of an incredibly scenic road so very peaceful. Just 3 tavernas on the beach, one of which has a little garden where you can also sunbathe/eat. beach soft but coarse so doesnt stick to you or fly around. gentle entry to sea which is clear and warm. lovely views to hills and mountains. parasols if you want them. rocks to swim to for snorkelling. absolutely perfect.

what is not to love about a beach which is isolated and not crowded, the beach is lovely and peaceful. There are umbrellas if you like, or don't like. The beach goes from pebbles to dark sand. It is clean and lovely.

Dramatic coastline, but the drive is long and difficult, the service is very poor if not non existent, half sun chairs were broken, the sea is impossible to swim in when windy, which is very very often. Overall nothing worth all the trouble of getting there.

Don't get me wrong, this is a nice place, but compared with the other beaches in the area, we thought it is too crowded, and we like more secluded places. However, it is easy accessible, clean and well served.

It was a windy day, nobody was on the beach, we just wanted to see the rocks. It is amazing how big is the beach. I liked it very much.

We hired a guide who drove us from the town of Rethymnon on the northern coast of Crete across the mountains to the southern coast of Crete where we reached the Mediterranean Sea. This is a must as you get to see the beauty of the country side in its natural state, the caverns, the goats, goat herders and the small charming villages. Once we crossed the mountains we came to Triopetra Beach on the Mediterranean. This is a gem along the southern coast. The beach provides some free umbrellas and lounge chairs. The beach is made from beautiful colored stones. I recommend some type of beach shoe. The area is known for its yoga retreats and for its three famous rock forms that protrude into the water. The peacefulness of this beach is comforting. The water is the most beautiful I have seen, calm, crystal clear and perfect for swimming. There is a typical taverna-cafe there 'Anoohkh" where you can sit in the shade and get delicious, inexpensive food and a great cold beer. Once you have come here you feel that you have experience something special. Enjoy!

It is a virgin beach but the weather network should be checked for wind prior to going... It can truly hinder the experience. Going there with babies is not the easiest as there is some walking required.

it looks like you landed on Mars. There is a beach bar and sunbeds, in one of the corners of this massive beach, but it is a rough landscape and if it is windy the sea is wild!! It is a lifetime experience though you shouldnt miss out on

Am libyschen Meer ist dieser Strand ein Geheimtipp. Nach 20 km Fahrt durch kretisches Gebirge, die Strassen sind sehr gut ausgebaut, erreicht man diesen Strand, nur mit 2 Tavernen und einigen Gästehäusern im Hinterland. In der Vor- oder Nachsaison kann es durchaus sein, das an dieser langen Bucht weniger als 20 Badegäste weilen. Liegen und Schirme sind vorhanden. Der Strand kieselig, Badeschuhe braucht man nicht, der Kiesel ist extrem fein. Das Wasser dementsprechend glasklar und zum schnorcheln geeignet. Für uns neben Falassarna im Westen der zweite Strand, den wir unter "außerordentlich schön" und "nicht überlaufen" einstufen. Hier fährt kein Bus voll mit Touristen vor, hier passt alles zusammen.

Sauberes klares wasser, auch bei Wellengang Einstieg möglich.Drei kleine Restaurants mit ordentlicher Küche, freundliche Bedienung, Liegestuhlbenutzung für Gäste kostenlos, fast nie voll

Magnifique plage, très spacieuse, avec transats. Ni du sable ni des galets (entre les 2). La vue sur les formations calcaires un peu spéciales est très jolie. Petit + pour le resto/hôtel en front qui est tout bonnement délicieux !

Da anni Triopetra è una delle méte preferite delle nostre vacanze a Creta. Lontana dalle località turistiche affollate, un tempo raggiungibile dopo chilometri di sterrato, ora è raggiungibile comodamente con una strada asfaltata. E' una spiaggia molto lunga con una serie di rocce all'estremità occidentale, ottime per i tuffi. Quando c'è vento il mare può essere mosso, specie al largo se si vuole nuotare intorno agli scogli più lontani dove la corrente si fa sentire. Il colore delle rocce al tramonto è un invito a tirar fuori la macchina fotografica. La sera, a meno che non si alloggi nelle vicinanze, consiglio di passare a Spili, a mezz'ora di distanza, per cenare in un paese tipico dell'entroterra e molto caratteristico.

Κρυστάλινα νερα πεντακαθαρη μπορεις να απολαυσεις την δυση του ηλιου. Εχει υπεροχη αμμουδια εξω και μεσα στη θαλασσα με μεγαλη ευκολια αν εχεις παιδια για να παιζουν.

Elle se mérite, mais ça vaut le coup. Eaux transparentes et mer très calme : les enfants ont adoré plonger avec le tuba et observer les poissons. 1 taverne et 1 snack juste à côté. Le pita bread du snack est à recommander.
