Atmosphere at the best, Padelis, the owner, and Yannis the waiter are fantastic people, very friendly and simpathetic. I went a lot of time to eat for lunch at the restaurant , directly on the beach in a very nice place. Really raccomented !!!

Well worth seeking out this little gem of a beach. It's never over-crowded, has great swimming and snorkelling plus a very friendly taverna to meet all your food and drink needs. One of our favourites for sure!

Hard to get to on a winding little track but ...wow..is it so worth it! Truly beautiful beach for swimming and although it is over 20 years since I have sub aqua dived..this was the place to bring me back to it.

The taverna behind the beach serves great food with elevated views of the beach. The south end of the beach is used by nudists. The beach is coarse sand.

Within an hour's drive from Rethymnon you find one of the quietest beaches around. This beach gives you the privacy you need to keep your mind free of all worries... It has sunbeds (3 euros pp) and a small restaurant cafe. The water are amazing and are very clear. Just beware as you enter since there are a few rocks and it gets quite deep very quickly. There are no lifeguard services. Since the parking is small, it gets populated with cars, so park your car facing outside for easy access on your way out.

Loved this place. Remote and tricky enough to find and get to that it doesn't get mega-crowded but with perfectly good beach facilities, a bit rocky in places but with crystal clear water and excellent snorkelling opportunities. Lovely taverna - the one with the garden, not the terraced one - although that may also be fine, just didn't get to check it out.

Secluded enough, not crowed, repaired from the worse wind and wave, good for snorkeling, bar service on the beach. just 5 km away from Plakias. Definitely worth

Beautiful place with very nice and clear beach. The water at the sea is also clear, just after a meter the sea becomes deep.

Nice seascape and some sea life to observe.The nearby taverna is managed by a very friendly and efficient couple.

Nice pearl in close to plakias. However, it is windy and the sea is becoming deep after one meter, which makes it not child friendly.The staff on the beach, a lovely lady, is extra friendly and worth the visit and the stay.

This beach has to be seen to be believed, a shingle beach and a perfect place to snorkel and sun bathe. clear blue waters and an abundance of fish to take your breathe away, but the star of this resort has to be the garden taverna, don't make the mistake like we did of thinking that the lower taverna was just a snack bar, it is so much more, the owner proudly showed us his pristine kitchen and a variety of dishes that spoilt us for choice, cooked to perfection what a fantastic place to while away an afternoon great food and drink and a view to die for. Please make sure you go.

Η νότια Κρήτη φημίζεται για τις ωραίες παραλίες της. Αυτή εδώ είναι ίσως η πιο κοντινή στο Ρέθυμνο, με την εξαίρεση του Πλακιά, που όμως είναι πολυσύχναστη, άγρια αξιοποιημένη και ειδικά τον Αύγουστο μάλλον κακή επιλογή. Αντίθετα τα Σχοινάρια, παρόλο που δεν είναι τεράστια παραλία είναι σχετικά ήσυχη και απρόσβλητη σχετικά απο την τουριστική «ανάπτυξη». Η διαδρομή ως εκεί δεν είναι δύσκολη, αρκεί να προσέξετε λίγο τις πινακίδες τα τελευταία χιλιόμετρα. Υπάρχουν ομπρέλες αλλά υπάρχει και χώρος πέρα από αυτές. Η θάλασσα, χαρακτηριστική στη νότια Κρήτη, βαθαίνει αρκετά γρήγορα και αυτό σας επιτρέπει να απολαύσετε τα καθαρά νερά της χωρίς το βαρετό περπάτημα που χρειάζονται οι βόρειες παραλίες. Γενικά μια πολύ καλή επιλογή όταν επιλέξετε για διακοπές το Ρέθυμνο

E' forse la spiaggia più bella nei dintorni di Plakias. Racchiusa fra due speroni rocciosi, è spesso riparata dai forti venti che soffiano nella zona. Il mare è limpidissimo e scende rapidamente (non è adatto ai bambini). La sabbia è un po' grossolana. E' il campo di istruzione permanente di una scuola di sub di Rethymnon. L'accesso è molto facile; ci si arriva in auto attraverso una strada tortuosa ma asfaltata di circa 5 km dal paese di Lefkogia (non 2 km, come è scritto erroneamente sui cartelli indicatori). C'è un'unica struttura di ristorazione che sorge proprio sulla spiaggia e che assolve alle funzioni di taverna e di snack bar.
