From the outside, this is what I’ve always thought a castle should look like. The castle is in ruins, but there are a few towers that you can climb and some rooms you can enter. This castle is out in the middle of nowhere, so it is a driving effort to get here, but worth the effort. I would make a return visit to these ruins

We visited with friends and had a marvellous day out. The chateau is partially ruined and is very interesting. The wall along the moat and by the lake are interesting. You can explore all over the chateau, up to the battlements and down into the cellars. Very interesting and enjoyable.

This is an interesting ruin, in a pretty, rural setting. After so many restored castles and ramparts, it was nice to be in a ruin and let our imaginations run wild, helped by the excellent short film that filled in the castle's past. There is an entry fee, and a "famille nombreux" ticket strictly means two adults and two children, meaning you have to pay extra for anyone over that number. I am fluent in French but my family is not, and we felt quite hamstrung by the lack of English language information in the castle. There were signs in English, and an English language booklet, but the information in these was considerably less than the signs in French, and the authorities might do well to hire a native English speaker to clean up some of the "franglais". Overall, though, we had a pleasant visit and enjoyed the restorations, the moat and the peaceful setting.

This was very atmospheric castle ruins and well worth a visit. The site is moated and a very good job has been done on restoring one of the towers so that you got a sense of what the building was like in its hey day.

Great afternoon for the kids to climb and explore. Small entry fee but if you didn't want to pay to go in still lots if photo oppertunities outside. Defiantly stop for a drink or something to eat at the creperie!

we are a family of 4 with a 16 and 20 year old. The chateau is more like a castle really, but ruined. There are lots of towers to go up, and an excellent english guide leaflet. The best bit was the dressing up! There is a room in one of the towers you can borrow historical clothes for your trip around - fun for photos!. In a lovely spot with room for a picnic outside the moat. The creperie next door had extremely slow service as one young lad seemed to doing everything, so dont bother unless you can see other staff!. Excellent castle though,and well worth the outing.

In the middle of the countryside, this is a wonderful place to visit. Although a ruin, it has been restored enough to allow you to climb up the towers and along sections of the wall. You can also explore passages below ground. You can explore most of it from ground level if you do not like heights There is an exhibition of medieval costume (modern reproductions) in one of the towers which you are encouraged to touch. The whole place is exciting for children of all ages including me (at 68). They even have reclining chairs in the courtyard so you can just sit and soak up the atmosphere. The entrance fee is €5.5 which is good value. You get a guide in your home language for that.I must also mention the creperie and bar next to this chateau. The galetts were super, the local cidre (named after the chateau) excellent and the service was quick. It was remarkable value as well.Altogether a great place to go for a day out. For me this ranks higher that the much more famous Fort La Latte.

Lorsque j'étais petite, notre instituteur nous emmenait au chateau. Nous nous installions près de l'étang en face : papier et crayon à papier, nous devions dessiner le chateau. Il était en ruine. Il a bien changé. Il a été rénové, comme autrefois, l'été il est très intéressant à visiter. Il y a toujours des représentations et même un feu d'artifice.Si vous passez dans le coin, faites un petit détour. Vous penserez à moi avec mon crayon......;Profitez en pendant les vacances de la Toussaint, il y a une course au trésor pour les enfants.et bien d'autres attractions : déguisements, jeux,etc...

Très bon moment passé dans ce château bien entretenu. Il paraît petit aux premier abords mais il renferme beaucoup de pièces visibles qui prennent beaucoup de temps.

on l'a déjà visité 3 fois, il y a un je ne sait quoi dans ce château qui nous attire. les visites guidées sont très bien faites et on y apprends plein de choses sur la vie au moyen âge. cet été, nous avons même eu le droit à un petit spectacle très drôle.les enfants peuvent se déguiser (et les grands) pour faire la visiteil y a toujours des inovations. un vrai plaisir

pour les amateurs , ce chateau fort super bien renové est a decouvrir sans faute, se trouvant dans un petit coin verdoyant , reposant , , vous serez enchantés par la decouverte de cet endroit

N'hésitez pas à visiter ce château qui paraît vide de l'extérieur car en ruines, mais pas du tout.. il y a des tas d'endroits à visiter et de petites expos dans 3 salles. Le lieu est très reposant et lorsque nous y sommes allés, il y avait même des chaises un peu partout et des jeux pour les enfantsFaites un petit tour (après ou avant) par la crêperie juste à l'entrée du château..Bonne visite

C'est un château du 13ème siècle, vraiment magnifique. On peut imaginer la guerre quand on vu la destruction du château. Par ailleurs, il y a des expositions à propos du moyen âge et des ateliers pour les enfants. N’hésitez pas de y aller.

L'impressionnant château de la Hunaudaye fut longtemps une carrière de pierre - ce qui explique ses murs largement percés - et on se réjouit de voir le très beau travail effectué depuis des années par le Conseil Général des Côtes d'Armor et l'Association qui gère le château pour sa mise en valeur de qualité (surtout pour un endroit si éloigné de la côte et de l'affluence touristique).Il faut absolument s'arrêter admirer les hautes tours de ce château édifié au XIIIe siècle - toutes visitables - et son incroyable implantation, en contrebas, au milieu d'anciens marais aujourd'hui asséchés. La visite est agrémentée d'une documentation intéressante, d'un parcours numéroté et de points de vue exceptionnels.Toutefois, les différentes restaurations, si elles servent bien la visite et la découverte du château, perdent parfois son âme au détriment de la modernité (grand escalier de fer, passerelles métalliques ...). De plus, mieux vaut, pour cet été 2014, éviter la visite guidée ... dénuée d'intérêt, terriblement ennuyante, truffée d'incohérences et d'imprécisions historiques ; tout comme l'exposition temporaire, très banale et manquant singulièrement de moyens. Le château se suffit à lui-même !

Le chateau est très joli ! De plus, il permet de passer une nuit à la Belle étoile, avec un petit groupe. C'est très sympa ! Avec soirée jeux de société de jeux anciens.
