Delicious breakfast all day with proper bacon, great coffee and a good atmosphere, tea served with a timer to get optimum taste, a great little farm shop and a sorbet smoothie bar for the help yourself sorbet smoothies, add your own toppings. Well worth a visit for that and a spot of gourmet shopping from the items in the shop, just across the road from the belhaven smoked salmon and trout shop, a great stop to pick up a pressie for a friend or relative. Only down side that when sitting in the cafe the walls are so thin that when someone turns on the hand drier in the toilet the other side of the wall it can be heard throughout the cafe.
Unfortunately I have not had the pleasure of visiting the farm but having just tried their Iced and Light strawberry desert I can't wait to go there and sample much more. The desert was perfect. It was just the right consistency and the strawberry flavour was amazing. Well done. See you in the summer.
Ah my tummy hurts from all the strawberries I ate ... not helped by the chocolate meringue on top which I also bought there. Gorgeous strawberries and friendly staff, it must be under new management as I can't relate to the poor reviews at all.
Late August, strawberry season, hmmmm.Yes, we'll take 4 punnets (too many), errr, no, we now have a fridge full of the most delicious strawberries ever tasted, and blackberries too.The strawb's are housed in polytunnels and not like when I was a kid, on the floor, but on stands at chest height (thank you nice people) A kilo for £4.95 which is roughly 4 punnets full, you can't go wrong. The blackberries too, not the prickly wild varieties but spikeless brambles with big and juicy fruits. They have a play area for little kids, a shop - I think we bought all the food there! and an Ice cream place - not tried due to travelling.Helpful and knowledgeable staffAnything against it? No. Value for money? Yes, but you'll probably spend a bit but that's ok.Key question: Would I go back? Yes, you can't get fruit fresher than this.
The Store at Belhaven Fruit Farm is one of my wife's 'hang out' joints for meeting other mums who have young children. The light meals, coffees, etc. are good, it's very conveniently located on the Thistly Cross roundabout on the A1. There is plenty of car parking space and a good play area for children. If your nipper(s) like trains, and most little boys do, the additional bonus is that it's adjacent to the East Coast Main Line so there are plenty of trains zooming by.It's far enough away from the A1 that traffic noise isn't a problem. The strawberries are legendary; so big, juicy and perfumed, unlike the anodyne supermarket varieties. The Store itself stocks Thistly Cross cider, fresh fruit and veg, and a large selection of high quality ready meals from the COOK brand which has a branch in Morningside. Why not pop in if you're passing by on the A1?
The Store cafe at Belhaven Fruit Farm is a real find, using local produce and the shop as its source. The food is great, especially the full Scottish breakfast and the monthly supper club should be kept as a secret. Well worth a visit when in East Lothian.

Our cafe is now under new management commencing this spring. All our facilities are currently being upgraded and will now include a farm shop and healthy ice cream factory, these facilities are being developed in partnership with Cook, Morningside the renowned retailer of remarkable frozen meals. I hope if you choose to visit us again you will leave having received a much more positive experience and will want to return.Thank you
