This is an unassuming little winery that is hard to find. The outside looks like a antique/junk yard and you would probably drive on by if you didn't know it was there. The inside was pretty much the same way. However, once you get to tasting their product, you'll be pleasantly surprised. The wine a s a whole was very, very good. Carla was very friendly and talked about the wineries history and their wine a bit. There was a small tasting fee which she waved when we purchased a bottle. We choose the Norton which was excellent! We are always looking for a good Norton and only purchase maybe once per ten wineries. I would have rated it a 5 except for the appearance and that they are only open on Saturday.

We visited on a rainy Sunday afternoon. Follow the signs to get to the tasting room at the end of the road. The staff was friendly and helpful. They don't have a large variety as a fairly new winery but we especially liked their filtered Glassy Red.

Carl and Carla are great hosts with absolutely phenomenal wines. Small and casual, a must visit just down the road from Tiger Mountain. You will love Stonewall Creek...go there!

This vineyard is worth the drive for anyone interested in local wineries! Rabun county now has 3 great vineyard/wineries, and they are all wonderful. I particularly enjoy the beautiful scenery at Stonewall Creek. My husband and I are fortunate to visit Rabun county often, a fact which means that we are fortunate to visit Stonewall Creek often, too! We have been able to help with 2 of their harvests and enjoyed the work and the lunch reward! Carl and Carla and family are very friendly and easy to get to know. Worth the drive!

My husband and I have been visiting the Dillard area for over 30 years and just this past year wandered off 441 into the charming town of Tiger. One of the really nice discoveries we made there was Stonewall Creek Vineyards. Owners Carl and Carla are there hands-on and were charming hosts, providing a real wine-education as well as a great tasting experience. We left with a case - and we'll be back!

5 of us visited the Stonewall Winery in Tiger Ga on Sept 13, 2014. This was a very pleasant experience, both tasting the wines and talking with the people there. We actually did not feel like customers, we felt more like old friends that had never net.The selection of wines was good but only one white. that's OK, I drink reds anyway. If you are visiting the Clayton Ga area and like to taste local wines, I strongly recommend this place. Most of the grapes used are grown right there, you can see them growing. To me, that means a lot.As is the norm for the area, and for all I know the entire state of Georgia, there is a fee for the tasting but the sampling of the different wines proved to be well worth the $10 fee.YES, I would return if in the area.

We stumbled upon this charming winery after a day on Lake Rabun, took a wrong turn and so glad we did! This vineyard is in a beautiful setting and that alone is worth seeing....the owners/winemaker were very hospitable and provided a most informative lesson in the local 'norton grape' which was very interesting. The tasting was great and the delish hors d'oeuvres provided were such a nice touch. Truly this place is so hospitable it was like visiting friends, (the Vitner was charming and sat down with us for conversation)...a very welcoming and relaxing environment. Oh, and the wine, superb! Can't wait to go back for another visit this fall! The only negative and certainly this should not deter you from a visit; the parking is a bit of a challenge if a busy afternoon....however defintely workable.

GPS can't find it by the Standing Deer Lane address. Look up the tasting room on Bridge Creek Drive then follow their directions or continue on to Apple Orchard Lane and follow the signs. Definitely worth the trip!

Google maps best to find this hidden gem. Garmin GPS has no clue. While it is not easy to find! It's well worth the effort. Owners are engaging and a delight to visit. They focus on wine making in the French style (medium to dry). A true winery, not an event venue like so many other "wineries" in the South. Tasting room on main road open Thurs - Sat. Winery open for visitors once a month, usually last weekend of the month. Check website (stonewallcreek.com) for schedule and driving directions.

We visited this winery as part of a trip to North Georgia. Compared to the other wineries in Rabun County, Stonewall has more unique wines. They have a tasting room on the main road about a mile from the vineyards, but they also have events at the winery. Stonewall's Cab Franc is one of the better North Georgia red wines I have tried. Their dry Rose is also very good.

We had the pleasure of discovering this vineyard this past Saturday when 3 places had a wine tasting festival with food and live music. From the tasting room, the view over the grapevines are beautiful. Their Bridge Creek Tasting room has a market and deli next store. We were able to taste the homemade goat cheese that is available for sale there. Yum. The owners, Carl and Carla Fackler, started the 5 acre land in 2003 and had their first wine for sale in 2012. Recommend the Petit Manseng, dry white. This is a winery worth watching. Take a day in Rabun Country and enjoy the ambriance. The owners are warm and informative.
